Very good in low light conditions

Opens really wide for low light scenes and having the fstop at 1.8 creates a really nice separation of the subject from the background. Also, its a small lens so less to carry around.

Super sharp, ultra-wide, and the f/1.8 aperture makes it perfect for low light and creamy bokeh. Autofocus is fast and silent, build quality feels solid, and it’s insanely good for vlogging, landscapes, and night shots. A must-have prime for Sony APS-C.

The constant f1.8 is also amazing giving you the blurry background for up close shots such as vlogging. This camera overall for shooting videography is a great second choice.

It surly gives a great wide view and it's very easy for vlogging. The only thing i would say is you need lights if your going to be far away. If your too far away the camera would up the video image dark and kind of look like a grainy quality. If you'll be far away have good lighting. It is much bigger in size compared to the tanard kit lens. i had the sony zve 10 first edition and now I have the second one; sony zve 10 II.

Excellent lens

Recently used it on a cruise and the perspective you can get is dramatic over an 18mm zoom lens. The photos are crisp, colorful and this lens is a keeper. One of my favorite lenses I have owned.

I gave this item 3 stars off the strength of the lens. It works perfectly fine but its missing extra parts such as the lens hood that’s supposed to come with it. This item was listed under open box “EXCELLENT” but this isnt so excellent and i get open box items all the time that are excellent certified and NO issues. Im actually still using all of them and its been at least 4/5 years. The three empty stars are for the reason being it was sent without a box, no protection. This is how i received it. I love bestbuy but y’all gotta do much better. Idk whether to send it back or swallow this one pill because i really needed this lens like yesterday.
