My new go to lens after breaking my 16mm-50mm kit lens which they don't sell anymore apparently. Great lens for walking around with when you need to be ready for anything. I prefer the manual zoom over electronic for its speed.

Love Sony and love this lens. It’s big to get the power I want but small enough to be great for travel. Feels solid and is a great compliment to my a6000.

I bought this open box lens for my a6700 camera but I think the lens is defective cause once I put in my camera my camera freezes that's why I am returning this item and there is dent in the front of the lens.

I bought this from Best Buy for the convenience of being able to return it to the local store, and the hope of a near future price match. I did not expect to keep it for $599 + tax. When I received it, the immediate con was that it was heavier than I had imagined from early reviews. I have the 6300 with 16-50mm and 55-210mm lenses. These lenses are both light, and the 16-50mm is miniscule. Then I started testing the new 18-135mm. I was surprised by the consistent quality of pictures. My 16-50mm lens is good 2/3 of the time and my 55-210mm lens is good 3/4 of the time. Sometimes these lenses exhibit fuzziness from focus (especially when stretching the 16-50mm) and sometimes from camera shake. The 18-135mm is consistently good (95+% of the time) in focus and stability. Now I am forced to keep it. I will keep the 16-50mm for the times that I must be able to fit the camera in my pocket and the 55-210mm for the times that I shoot pictures of the moon or of a grandchild from the audience of a staged event. For the 90+% of my normal picture taking, I will be walking around with the huge (from my perspective) 18-135mm lens. Picture taking nets down to getting good pictures.

Sharpness is poor. Very poor, worst or the same as kit lens. Focus slow after 60mm. Going to f5.6 at 47 mm. Looking to sell it and get 18-105 instead.
