It’s a great lens if you have a crop sensor. Good for shooting wide and gives you bokeh if you zoom in so don’t worry about it being f4. I used it for a photoshoot and the images came out good

I purchased this to go with my Sony A6500, it was used briefly with the A6300 camera and it did not disappoint. Took sharp pictures and it's a great walkabout lens.

Great range for everyday use. I’ve used this from work to everyday recreation, and now the second one I own. If there’s a sony lens for anyone to use, it would be this!

This is my first non-prime lens I've purchased for my Sony A6000 and I'm not disappointed. Crop equivalent is like 27-152mm on my APS-C and quickly gets from all the way out to zoomed in max. Photos are crisp, but coming from prime lenses, obviously not as sharp. However, I can carry one lens for most situations, not have to move as much, and/or get shots not otherwise possible.

Well balanced with my Sony A6300 and adding less than a pound, this is a great travel lens and covers what I need from wide angle to a medium telephoto. It focuses quickly and seems very well made, with a smooth zoom action. Great lens.

Great lens for the average photographer and videographer. Not the best in low-light but with a couple of setting changes will do the work. If you can save up and upgrade!

Have only tested at home so far but f4 provides very decent indoor lighting. Looking forward to taking it on next international trip so I do not have to change lenses. 18-105 is an ideal range for travel. Considered the 18-135, but preferred the fixed f4 aperture as more versatile. I only gave 4 stars because I have not taken the lens on the road yet.

High quality glass. For filming The OSS is a necessity. This Keeps a tighter image I wouldn't recommend using this for landscapes however. I use this lens for just about everything.

Very smooth zoom, I love that you can pair it with a remote and use the zoom like a camcorder. Excellent picture quality

If I was travelling and for whatever reason I could only bring one lens, this is definitely it! it's wide enough for landscape/group shots but you can also zoom in and get really tight for portraits and some sports photography. I found that the lens can be a little soft in very low light conditions but this being an F4 aperture (F6 on APS-C) it will obviously have some drawbacks but the versatility of this lens easily outruns the cons. Best part is, the lens doesn't extend any further when you zoom in, everything is done inside the lens itself, this plus the constant aperture give you a very nice travel lens.

Great workaround lens. With the range, its perfect when u want to bring only one lens. Focusing is fast and image is sharp

I purchased this lens for our family vacation in Europe because it is one of the best valued all around lens for Sony E-mount camera. It is surprising light but sturdy, easy to grip. Image quality is excellent and price is good as a sub $600 lens.

Great lens up close or far away. My go to lens stayson my carmer. When you need just one lens. Great for travel. Little big for my build in flash but a great lens.

I purchased this as an open box item, honestly, I was surprised that it had scratches around the front end of the lens since open items tend to be in very good shape. Additionally, the lens cap and hood were missing, however the description on the box said they were included. I received an additional discount from BestBuy for this misinformation so that was covered. Now onto the lens. Aside from the scratches and missing items, the lens itself is great, which is what I expected. 18-105 at F4 is a no brainer for overall use. I use this strictly for photos and although I’m a prime lens user, I needed something that would reduce the amount of gear I carried around. I needed something that would allow me to take a photo at 18mm and quickly move to 85mm without having to fumble around lenses, removing caps, putting lenses away and missing all these photo opportunities. This lens fixed that issue. I would recommend.

I use this lens for Cinematography shoots on a Sony Nex EA50UH. Great quality and smooth manual and power zoom. Bright and sharp through out focal range. Highly recommended!

A really good lens for everyday shooting. Able to zoom in and out with smooth response and brings about really crisp photos and videos. There are better lenses out there but for the price you can go wrong. Allow me to not have to switch out lenses so often. More versatile and useful for daily shots.

I needed a wide telephoto lens that was fast and also was good for video. This lens fit the bill for my a6000. Fast zoom pictures are sharp. Recommend to add to your lens kit.
