Amazing quality, worth every penny! The photos are exceptional!

I hesitated awhile before purchasing this lens as reviews varied. My main concern is that f4 was going to be too slow of a lens on my a6000. I was positively surprised just how well this lens performs. Incredibly sharp and you can achieve some very nice bokeh at longer focal lengths. 18-105mm is a great all around range and you will be quite happy with this lens paired on your a6000/6300/6500. Video users will love the power zoom. It has multiple speeds so you can get different effects. The image stabilization is great, no weird tendancies or bouncing. This lens has stayed on my camera since I bought it. No regrets!

Looking for all rounder lens and don't mind a little weight and size. This Sony G lens will fit your needs. Good picture quality and for the price and comes with OSS which helps with video and motion blur. Pros: G series for half the price of Gmasters Great outdoor lens Good zoom F4 constant Cons: Low light performance is sub par even with OSS resulting in noisy pics Heavy Works best in well lit environments.

Great lens for video... I wish it were a little wider however it gets the job done. Constant aperture helps with video, it is super sharp and image quality is impressive. All these goodies one at a steep price however.

Bought this to go on my A6600. I love the zoom range on this. It is a great lens that is versatile.

Lens is diversital however it is larger and harder to transport. Overall, great photos and would recommend to anyone seeking a multifunctional lens.

I needed this lens as the packaged lens SELP1650 fell and broke. Important - please check compatibility with your camera. I first bough a SEL50F18F which seemed to be compatible. Though it worked, the steadyshot did not. So it would a long time to focus. I dived into the Sony website to get the proper lens. For each camera, they have the lenses compatibility button under lenses and accessories. Most lenses have some issues. This SELP18105 has the same issue as the packaged lens (Distortion setting will be set to auto). I was fine with that. Now about the lens - The pictures are great, including portraits. I like the F4 feature through the whole range of focal lengths. Pictures taken by friends using it for the 1st time are good as well. Lens is not compact, but I was not looking for a compact lens. Lens did not easily snap in like the other lenses I had used on the camera, but that is too minor an issue.

This lens is my go to for every shoot! I own other lenses and every time I go to use them, I end up resorting back to this baby. Great price, beautiful images.

For photography this lens is maybe a little better than the 18-135 f3.5-5.6 kit lens although not stellar. But the real advantage is for video and the constant f4. Unless you video in a completely controlled environment regarding light, the kit lens will make the lighting of the scene change as the f-stop changes. That is eliminated with the f 4. Great lens.

I love it, really good lense , very versatile, really good

Best lens in this range, nothing competes. Works well with stablizing arms since the zooming happens internally and doesn’t impact center of balance.

It’s a great all around lens for my Sony a6500 (and E-mount APS-C cameras). It is great for video because of its super quiet and zoom with 3 variables. Great for taking photo because of its zoom range and constant f4 aperture (of course it would be best if it was f1.8, but for its price and plus zoom feature, that comes with a not so big price at last). I also love that it’s an interior zoom lens that doesn’t troduce nor retract when zoom in and out, liminates the risk of getting dust inside that may someday cause stuck lens like my other ones!

I love this lens. I use it to shoot weddings and other events where I can’t be close to my subjects. It is not the sharpest lens in my kit but if I only could have one I’d pick this one because it is the ultimate walk around lens. Capture close subjects and landscapes also portraits zoomed in it has good bokeh at around 50-105. Also a great gimbal lens because of power zoom. (Power zoom lets the lens zoom without changing the size of the lens, most zoom lens extend out while zooming in

This lens is very light weight and and clear. The power zoom makes good video and is very smooth. This is one of my go to lenses and I love it

Impeccable camera lens, extremely useful in all scenarios requiring telephoto. The motor zoom feature allows consistent zooming at preferable speeds to make sure your shot is perfect! I highly recommend this E-Mount lens.

I bought this lens with Sony 6400 camera. It's a great combo! The focal length is perfect for general use, from wide angle to mid telephoto. It's on my 6400 most of time. Great for travel, very light. Focusing is very fast and accurate, with little noise, which is great for take video. That powerzoom feature is great for video use. bokeh is good, as it's f4.0, not 2.8. Beautiful colors and tone. Highly recommended !

Easy to use great photo and video's. Versatile lens

18-105mm zoom Sony lens is nice alternative to 16-50 kit lens. I have kit lens, the 35mm 1.8 lens, and now the 18-105mm. They all take superbly sharp images. I wasted a lot of time and $$$ on a Canon 80D w/18-135mm USM, and Sigma 18-35mm Art. Images were very sharp w/both lenses. Art lens superb, but IS didn't function on USM, and focus was bad on Art lens. 80D exposure and tones SUCKED BIG TIME. I had to constantly go into menu during photo outings. Never have to with Sony. The best digital camera I've yet used.

This was perfect with my sony a6300. This is light, compact, and great quality. I love the range, and image quality is on the money.
