I purchased this mic to assist me with a school final project and it not just did the job, it helped make the project! The separation of channels the quality and crispness of the recording allowed most scenes on first take. Mic worked well but it has Avery narrow pickup zone for audio, I needed more ambient noise for the event I was recording.

If you own a 6300 this is a great mic if you dont feel like putting on a huge mic on it

works ok, still haven't tried it with the wind, ok so far.

Smaller than I thought, but I am excited to try it out! Packaged very well and looks great.

I'm not sure how better it sounds compare to internal recording on my sony a7s iii. It feels cheap, plasticky toy, rather than a tool. It is not worth $100. It deserves a "Buy Nice or Buy Twice" Warning!

Everything I expected came to reality. Great microphone, great sound reproduction.

Bought unit to enhance sound recording on my Canon 7i. Unit sound pick-up about same as on-board mic. (Near/Far) Unit did not out preform Canon 7i on-board mic.

Works but there is background noise created or picked-up. The built-in microphone on my Sony a6000 is equally good without any background noise. I bought open box, so maybe it is a bad unit, although why would it be resold if bad? It is now too late for me to return.

This shotgun mic is perfect if your someone with a song a6000 and looking for a work around for an external mic

This microphone allows you to capture great audio quality to go along with the amazing video captured by my Sony a6500.

I would like to say I purchased this product for the convience. I found the sound quality to be sub par. I wouldn't get another gig if I had to depend on this mic for audio.

I have an A7s and the mics on that are better then most so maybe its not a fair comparison but this device was way worse then that.

The build quality is good as with all Sony products. Brought this to use with my Sony A6000 camera to have better audio when recording video files. It fit well and performed well. The only drawback is that it will not do audio zoom. This is when the microphone is set to a zoom pattern and it is supposed to narrow as the camera zooms in on the subject. It will give you an error that the A6000 does not support that feature of the accessory and to check compatibility of the device. I can live without that feature because the audio is so much more improved over the built in microphone of the camera. I would recommend this accessory to a friend if they could live without the audio zoom feature.

Expensive for no reason...... doesn't work fully with A6000... did mic test and really couldnt notice a difference when I needed it... i recommend you buy a more expensive mic trust me...

This seems like it is supposed to be a plug-and-play mic. I could not get this mic to work with my Sony ZV-1. I do NOT recommend this product.

I had read online that this microphone would work with my camcorder. Unfortunately, it didn't. It may be a good microphone with other camcorders.
