Great walk-around lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Some people (pixel peepers) hate on this lens. I love it for what it is. A great walk-around lens for my full-frame Sony A7. Great zoom range but that comes with trade-offs. Lower light gathering ability and some issues in the corners. However, lens correction on Lightroom does a great job. I like it for my current lifestyle which is traveling around the country in my RV. Not a pro lens (I have a couple of those) but a great lens for what it's designed to be.

1 month in good lens for travel
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use the lens as my everyday lens if I don't know what I'm in for. The images are sharp, as one would expect from a lens of this caliber. In the end it is of good value and a lens I will continue to use if I want to walk around with a single lens.

This is an Great New Walk around lens from Sony
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sony recently released this lens that provides a great zoom flexibility. It is very cheap compared to the fixed aperture lenses, but provides the versatility of great zoom range. This is a little heavy lens but the image quality is excellent.

Great lens. I need a wide angle for this lens.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As I said: this is a great lens. What I need now is a wide angle to fit the lens. Where can I find it?

Great All-Around Lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I truly love the versatility of this lens. It is a bit on the heavy side but I can deal with it because of the 10x magnification that is available. Not an expert but I have obtained some great pictures.

Nice lens for general use
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a good lens for travel or family events if you don't want to constantly switch out lenses. There are higher quality lenses for a lot more money, but this lens will still get detailed shots.

Meh... Too pricey for the performance.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wasn't expecting National Geo quality out of this but was satisfied with the results. Ended up returning though and bought the Tamron 28-200 and still saved $300 with the restock fee. Same performance and it's a brighter lens. I'm sure every once in a while I'll miss the increased telephoto range but with a full frame camera, at least I can always crop on the high end without too much loss of quality. If the Sony was $300 less, I'd give it 4 stars.

Great Lens
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this as a 'one size fits all' zoom lens for my Sony Alpha because using multiple lenses on the camera was causing extreme sensor dust. Having the one lens on the camera fills most of my non-studio needs, making this lens combined with the camera a perfect travel kit. I'm not sure I like the artifcacts/bokeh when it is zoomed at full the full 240mm - but the trade-off makes it worth putting up with. The Lens seems sharp - but does have a bit of vignetting at both extremes. Over-all I am happy with it and look forward travel with my new lens/camera combo.

Great Overall Lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used this lens with my Sony A6300 camera body. Yes, this lens is huge, but not unmanageable. I bought this lens for the additional reach over the 55-210 kit zoom lens. But the extra reach wasn't as noticeable and I'll wait for the 300 lens,

Good wide range lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good wide range lens, I took advantage of an excellent open box deal and will be using on an e mount APS-C camera which will give me a longer focal length equivalent for a good price. I'm happy with this purchase.

Very Solid Lens To Begin WIth!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sony 24-240mm Lens is a great lens to start with. its a bit heavy to shoot for long events, hand gets tired. but quality is very good, and video quality with the lens is very solid.

Super zoom
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a super zoom, so theoretically you can carry this as your only lens on your trip. HOWEVER, be aware it is a very heavy lens for a mirrorless system. And at 240mm side, the f/6.3 aperture means that it is not a fast lens. You decide.

Great "Go To" Lens for the Sony
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wanted a decent telephoto lens to go with my newly purchased Sony AS-6300. Read the reviews on this one and decided to go for it, even though it cost nearly as much as the camera. It has become my "go to" lens for everything, including up close portraits and even macros. I've had the lens for two months now and I've not used the kit lens since. Great purchase worth every penny.

heavy but has a good range
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't really had a chance to use the lens yet but seems to be what I was looking for. My only concern is that it's a bit heavier than my other lenses, however, with this lens, at least I only need to carry one lens with me.
