Excellent “walk around” lense

You might have to move in closer to your subject, but it’s just a comfortable lense to carry around whether attached to your camera or in your bag. Being a prime lense, your subject matter is crystal clear while the background has a nice blur to it.

The main reason is that the 28mm is a lot better at taking macro shots. Most people would not be able to notice the difference in quality between the two. I would recommend this lens over the kit lens and it's an overall great value for this price point.
