Excellent lense. Works perfectly for what I need.

The photos from using this lens are fantastic. The details and quality are very good. It is heavy but the quality is worth it.

Wide range of focal length for use both indoors and outdoors when you don't want to lug separate lenses around. Sharp and quick auto focus

Large as expected. Heavy as expected. Excellent build quality as expected. Functions as it should and takes high quality pictures. Quality of pictures is excellent. F stop range fine since this is going to be used outside mostly. Use it for portraits, landscapes, sports whatever it will serve its purpose and works flawlessly with excellent picture quality.

the Lens is excellent. Even shots in low light. Only problem is the weight. Much heavier than the camera body, but the trade off is worth it. Sharp, clear pictures and the stabilizer feature is a must.

Not the widest aperture but it has great image quality in good light.

I'll start with I ultimately returned it. Got an amazing deal on a 2.8 so it was the smart thing to do. I had it a month and it was a very nice lens. A little soft past 250 but easily corrected in the computer with just a touch of sharpening. I suspect Best Buy's shipping may had had something to do with it. Who ships a 1300 lens in a bubble mailer and then sends a backpack in a fully padded box... I will rail them for this every chance I get :) So maybe just wait a little longer and pick up in a store to keep one less round of tossing it in and out of trucks. .Weight isn't too bad for what it is and the OSS when using one an IBIS body is unmatched. I miss having the 300mm but my other deal was too good to pass up.

Just what I was looking for. Full frame lens with good reach. Wish it was a little bit faster lens, but very good for the price.

Great 70-300 zoom lens, my first with Sony coming over from Canon. As you would expect with this focal length range and glass quality, the lens isn't light, and I'd like the zoom operation to be a little smoother, but really no complaints.

Love the lens, it's focas speed is fast and smooth. Seems to work well in semi-low light. Lens is light weight and voom works smothly. There is a locking feature that will keep the lens from zooming out when walking or hiking.

Went to a lake house for a weekend and got some amazing pics with this lens. I love the reach and the lens stabilization got rid of the camera shake from being on a boat and free floating dock. I can see why this was the most Favorited lens till the G Master 70-200 was released.

Debated to purchase the GMaster or this lens. After watching several evaluation videos on the internet, it made sense as amateur to settle for this more reasonable priced lens. Great choice. Takes great pictures. Got it at a BB store as open box for additional savings

I have owned the Nikon 70- 300 and the Canon 70-300mm L in the past and this Sony has superior contrast, and sharpness than the lenses I have compared it to. My copy is corner to corner sharp at f8 and sharp in center wide open.

I ended up returning this lens after a few days. Its weight, paired with the weight of the camera body made it a hassle to use. There’s no tripod/monopod mount on it to mitigate the weight. I ultimately didn’t think it was worth it for my photography.

I can't stress enough how good this lens is. Insane zoom without loosing any quality. I know, it is expensive. But if you are serious about photography you should get your hands on one of these!

Perfect attachment for those medium to longer range shots on the Sony A7. excellent Lens. works perfect out of the box.
