Had my doubts but in the end I think is great.

If you read the unhappy reviews you will never buy a lens, because the reviews are focusing on finding the negative and telling you to spend more money on something else that may cost you thousands more, for almost a minimal difference, if you are a professional go ahead and spend your money. For me is a great value and I'm happy with it, thanks.

Very good lens, especially in the lower end

I have done some live action shots of company products being used and got sharp, good contrast shots. Very pleased with the performance. Much better than a standard 70-300 consumer lens, but not quite a super professional lens.

Great Zoom Lens

I took this lens through the Grand Canyon, Antelope, Monument Valley, Bryce, and Zion NP and it never failed me. Any lens that survives that dustbowl is more than air-tight.

Only Bad are the SONY not included a tripod ring in this lens and all the weight are resting in the camera body .... a big mistake from Sony. This len are a little heavy.
