Though the 1.4 has slightly better picture quality, this lens is cheaper and more portable making it a better lens for newer portrait photographers

Honestly not much difference from the ZEISS Batis 1.8/85mm. I mean if you have money to spend then go for it or get the G master when you have alot of money haha, but this is the best bang for your buck product.
