I was skeptical of purchasing an open box lens but at the time the price was just right and it seemed to be in good shape. Although I wouldn’t really know until I attached it to my camera and use it. No complaints so far. Love it, I use it for short films, music videos etc. the depth of field is incredible.

Best lens for the price focus ring feels cheap and suffers some chromatic aberrations but for 600$ you will jot find anything better or a more compact 85mm prime also 67mm filter thread is great for buying filters

Absolute butter! This lens produces the creamiest bokeh and the auto focus is lightning fast. At a fraction of the cost it shoots at the same level as and even higher in some areas than G master lenses of the same spec. 100% worth the purchase.

I would suggest this lens to anyone who shoots portraits

After a year of owning this, I can honestly say this is my most used lens. I always gravitate towards this, and my clients and friends love the photos I take with this the most. However, there are some downsides I think are fixed with the GM version. Sometimes, the autofocus is slow and bokeh on this are not high quality.

Outstanding lens ! As clear and sharp as the more expensive lenses of the same size. Great for portraits! The colors and sharpness of this lens are truly amazing. The build quality,feel and weight are very good. Extremely solid but not too heavy.

I really like this 85mm f1.8 by Sony. Tact sharp and works well for shooting videos and portraits on my Sony A7Rii and . It's my go to for run and gun shooting. Although, it's not weather sealed, you can't go wrong this lens.

Very good lens gets amazing pictures and not to big

By far my favorite lens to shoot on my Sony A7III.

This is a very good alternative to the more expensive 85 mm lenses like gmasters and Batis . This is super sharp and won’t leave a dent in your wallet at the same time . Highly recommended if you want a bang for your buck lens at 85 mm

This was my first lens for Sony. I may say I'm truly impressed!! Everyone will say get the 1.4 lens, theoretically it's super rate I ever shoot at that f-stop. Do yourself a favor and get this lens for the great price it's listed at.

Awesome portrait lens! This lens is really good if you are doing portrait photography and want that nice blurry background effect!

This is an amazing portait lens! It works well on animals, cars, and other objects too! It also has a very nice built in color sceme that makes photos look preedited

This is an amazing piece of glass. It holds its own with the Batis 85. One can argue that at its price its an incredible bargain. It performs beautifully and has provided me with a number of great portraits & street shots.

This lens creates some of the sharpest images in my portfolio. I'm very surprised at the quality of these images at this price. You will not regret making this purchase. The bokeh and separation is incredible.

I love this Lens! It’s great for portraits. The Quality is Crisp. I love how it Blur out the background & focuses on Your Portrait Subject. Def Recommend It. Just Know you will have to keep a good Distance from Your Subject To Get The Best Results

We loved our 35mm sigma lens so when we bought this we didn’t know if we would be able to take the 35 off but this lens did not disappoint. The bokeh is so smooth. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful 85mm ... AF is amazingly fast, eye AF with this works beautiful on the A7iii. Sharp and solid colors. Nice thick glass, good weight when shooting. Much better price than the G
