This lens is amazing. Very sharp and clean images. For macro photography, this lens is the must have. This lens is just not only for the macro photography, but also it is very good for the portrait and landscape photography. I love it.

Great macro lens when you need a close up, but you can't get close enough for the 30mm macro. Great also for portraits. If you like close up photos in nature, this is a great choice. Priceless but worth it.

Shot some wedding rings with this and the shots are sharp with good bokeh. I bought this because it is a native lens to my Sony A7r2. No more need for adaptor. Love this lens.

I love this lens. It's fairly easy to use and it takes amazing pictures. I have been able to zoom in on things smaller than one square centimeter and enlarge them greatly.

This macro takes great shots. It’s pretty quick to focus and it’s not like a GM beast lens, so it’s more suited to a mirrorless style to get that light build.

This is an OUTSTANDING LENS!!! After getting it in the mail I put it on my a6500 and took a few shots. I could not believe the clarity of the photos I took. The ability to zoom in and still be crystal clear just blew me away. I can’t wait to take this under the water on my next dive !!! Upgrading from the 50mm which is equally a great lens.

This lens is paired with a Sony A7 IV and I have to say its the best lens I have ever had. The autofocus is faster than most macros but the portraits this thing takes are unreal. The macro stuff is fun and very easy to get right with the manual focus and the use of the clutch. This is an insane value for the money and I wish this had been the first lens I purchased.

If you need a macro for your Sony alpha camera, this is the lens for you. Kraft Sharp Photos. What else could you want?

This is such a good lens. Very sharp. I like the clucth focus ring. The stabilization works well. Focus is a bit slow but not an issue for me. Macro is fun to shoot.

Just buy it. Macro and Portraits are amazing. Golden crisp.

Excellent. Was a tossup between this lens and its primary Sigma competitor, and both are excellent. The Sony simply has more features, conveniences, and attention to detail like the included macro scaling printed on the lens barrel. First use was copying old photographs set up in a lightbox, and plan to do similar with slides as I build a custom lightbox where high resolution RAW files surpass scanning. The optical flatness of a macro lens is the desired tool vs the curvature of normal rectilinear lens. Waiting for the Sony authorized sale paid off, but wish Best Buy also participated in (or publicised the process) the Sony trade-in bonus that ran concurrent with the sale. I had a working Sigma 50 macro on Nikon mount that previously used with an adapter and would have traded in for the additional $150 bonus added to the $100 sale discount and could care less how much the trade value of the lens would have been.

Full Frame (35 mm) Lens works great on my a6000 APS-C sensor camera. 90 mm lens on the crop sensor works out to be a 144 mm lens giving me that little nudge of distance from my subject. Excellent lens - build is solid!

This is a great lens. Sharpness is excellent. AF might be slightly slower than some of the newer lenses but its a macro lens so you’re probably shooting manual focus. Fantastic lens

Great lens for Macro and surprisingly portrait photos! Easy-to-use extra features on the lens makes getting those tough shots really easy. This lens is helping me move further in my career in photography.
