It has fans, a clear swivel monitor, easy to use controls and it feels great in your hands while filming lightweight and ready to roll.

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been testing this camera out in a number of challenging scenarios, like dead of night with LED Christmas lights, or bright sunny day with harsh shadows) and it really holds up. In ideal scenarios, at base ISO of 800 and with proper lighting, it of course shines. Colors are rich, skin tones are natural, dynamic range is amazing and lends a level of tonal nuance to anything you’re shooting. The placement of the buttons needed some customization for my usage (disabled the record button on the front because my pinky kept hitting it on accident and mapped shutter button to record because I naturally gravitate to it when I’m ready to shoot). The image is a little soft compared to other cinema and mirrorless cameras, but it still manages to resolve a lot of detail and is a nice 4k image. There is slight rolling shutter, but much better than Sony’s other higher megapixel mirrorless cameras like the a7IV, and honestly its so subtle i stop noticing after a while. In all i know it will serve me well on documentary and run-n-gun shoots, but when i get to shoot in studio conditions, it should be even better. Amazing camera!

I only swapped due to the low light capability but let me say that I’m glad I did. The dual native iso makes this camera all I needed. The full frame takes out the 1.5x crop factor that the fx30 sensor had which gives me so much more versatility with lenses, at least to me. Everything else is pretty much the same. 10/10 recommend!

Amazing Camera!

The video quality is extremely good, especially at night. This camera will not disappoint, also comes with an external mic handle which is great for directing and amazing sound quality. Does not come with a mic. The FX3 is catered for video and the A7siii is better for photos if you are undecided. Don't wait just get it.!

Yes it has all the internals of the A7siii but the functionality of the body with its mounting points, the fan, and the recording lights around the camera it made it a no brainer for me! I have a dedicated a7iii for pictures so I wanted something for video. I do not need an EVF. Get yourself a v90 sd card and you will be set! I bought a CF express type A card but rarely use it.

The Most Amazing Prosumer Camera SONY has made!

It's not quite "cinema" level because it lacks several cinema features such as Shutter Angle, 4K DCI, true 24p, anamorphic modes etc. But still, I absolutely love this camera.

Low lighting situations are not an issue. with the Update and shutter angle added is ply a full cinema camera that you can just build on. I love this camera.

Doesn't have to be big to be better.

I believe Sony listens to user feedback and this camera has way more potential with future updates. Thought it doesn't have a viewfinder, It also takes good pictures in case you need a thumbnail for your video.
