Sony Gold and Platinum headsets are remarkable specimens of design and functionality. Unbelievably light on the head and provide great sound. Invisible mic that is clear and full sounding. Little known fact that they can also be used for PC. Fold up for easy transport. If Playstation is your primary platform, these are a no brainer.

This is my second set of these (I broke the 1st pair). I have loved this headset since day one. The sound quality is amazing with the virtual surround sound (VSS) mode you can really hear where things are coming from, a great feature for anyone who plays PvP like CoD or Fortnite. The battery is decent, I can usually get 3-4 hours of gaming before I have to charge them and they charge with in an hour. The sound adjustments are also very nice as the headset has a a built in adjustment slider for game/party audio. No boom mike means nothing sitting in front of your face annoying you and it has a mute button to make sure you can turn off the mic when needed. I would 100% recommend these to anyone not just for PS4 they also work with my MAC and my TV This is a must have for all gamers One small side note: they get kinda hot with the leather wrapped ear pieces but the sound makes it all worth it.

Instantly after giving the headset its first charge, I was blown away by the sound quality and comfort ability that this headset gave me. I was not disappointed whatsoever and the charge holds pretty well too. Glad to say this is a great headset for those who want to game with no worries that your party can hear you loud and clear.

About a year after my top of the line Turtle Beach headset warranty ended it broke. I didn't feel like spending that kind of money again so I bought these. Overall the sound quality is not better than my old set, but it is decent. The build quality is not premium, but it's still ok. I like that I can see the battery life in the PS4 UI and that it also shows on the screen if I'm mutted or not. My minor gripes would be 1) There are a bunch of buttons and they are all located on the left cup. I would have preferred if they used both cups so you can differentiate between them easier. (Is this the volume rocker, or is it the game/chat balance?) 2) The companion app for this newer model doesn't have nearly enough preset audio modes for different games (one of the selling points). The older one had a ton. I think this has around 6 or so. 3) I wish, like with my previous headset, I could toggle noise cancellation on and off. 4) I also wish that the noise cancellation was a bit better. Even though I say all this, I have to way up against the price. Once you factor in that these are only $99 full price, those gripes melt away.

This headset has a long lasting battery in between charges. It is easy to use. Great range of distance. I can basically walk across my house and it is still has good wireless effective range. Comfortable to wear. It performs like what you'd expect from a higher end, pricier gaming headset....but at a much better price!

i loved my first set (Gen 1) playstation gold headphones but this newer version is sooo much better. The durability is awesome and they're lighter and tighter. You can't go wrong with these headphones. You need these when playing first person shooters or if your wife sleeps where you play....haha!

This headset is okay; it's lightweight and comfortable, with decent sound quality and is easy to use. The battery life is very good. The range it's about 15 ft, so it's not a good choice if you want to walk around the house while listening to something or talking with friends over voice chat.

I have both the Platinum and this headsets. I would say this one is very similar in quality but probably a better fit if you have a smaller head. Sound quality is great and being wireless is excellent. You can also plug it directly into the PS4 controller if it runs out of battery.

Headphones are super lightweight but somehow become uncomfortable during long playing sessions (tightness). Playing for a few hours at a time is no problem and the sound quality is excellent. Battery lasts throughout the day and I’ve yet to have any mic issue.

I bought these headphones as I was just getting into gaming and wanted a decent set to play with on my PS4. Pros: They are super comfortable and have decent sound. I like that you can toggle the volume mix between the game sounds and the voice chat so that one does not over power the other. All of this can be done by simply pressing a button on the side of the headphones too, making it easier than having to go into a menu setting on the console. The mic picks up great and my friends have no problem hearing me. Con: for some reason the sound will kick off and on, almost like a flicker, every once in a while. I have not figured out if it is the headphones specifically or something to do with the console.. But this has not been such an issue that I would not recommend these headphones. Overall I give the headphones 4 stars for great sound, ease of setup and function, great mic and comfort. BUY THESE HEADPHONES!!!

I was skeptical when I bought these but I'm glad I'm did. They're very comfortable the sound is excellent. I bought the matching controller & I love it as a set. Battery life has been good. I don't need to charge them daily.

GREAT SOUND AND MIC QUALITY. RANGE IS NOT SO GOOD I GET MAYBE 15 FEET BEFORE IT STARTS TO FADE OUT. THAT'S WHY I HAD TO GO WITH 4 STARS. IT'S VERY COMFORTABLE AND HAS A SLEEK DESIGN. BATTERY LIFE IS OK NOT GREAT BUT ENOUGH JUICE FOR ME.

Diving right in, the strongest quality would be gaming for extended amounts of time without discomfort. Sound quality is crisp. Connectivity has issues every once in awhile but definitely worth the price.

Great deal with sale price. Shipping was fast. Great sound, decent battery life. Fit my melon head comfortably. However, if you wear glasses can get a little uncomfortable if worn for awhile.

I love this headset because they have great sound and are pretty comfortable. They were pretty reasonably priced. Also love being able to play at night without waking the family.

I bought this as a replacement for a Sony Gold that cracked. They all seem to crack in the same place after a few years. I wanted the same model as the old one that broke - best sound, best fit, best price.

Owned a PS4 gold headset before, really like the new redesign, the sound quality is great and its comfortable. The battery life is good, wish it was better for extra long game sessions but its good enough.

Great Sound: You have multiple options for audio. You can turn it on for regular audio, turn it up to option 2 for bass boosting, and you can even adjust game audio versus chat audio. Also, you can download sound mixing options for the headset through mobile app. The headset is also sturdy feeling, doesnt look like it'll break anytime soon. However, for longer gaming sessions, the headset becomes uncomfortable. It digs into your ears and head it seems. Overall, a great headset, if you ignore the uncomfortable portion, its easily a 5 star headset.

These are some of the least expensive wireless headsets. They are not out of the park with loudness and design, but they are practical. It has all the functions you need. It has the mute button, the game to chat adjusting buttons. On the PS3 version of these headsets, they had a slider for the game-chat audio which was a lot easier, but the buttons serve the same purpose. The quality of sounds is undoubtedly very good. I upgraded from the older Playstation wireless headset and i noticed sound quality changed tremendously. I have heard that some of these headsets start making noises and buzzing but I haven't experienced anything yet. The protection plan would be a good idea, it's like $15 I think

These replaced an older set that got worn out from almost everyday use. Comfortable and the sound is great, sounds better than the previous models. Wireless is a must, no wires to get tangled in.
