First party Sony PlayStation products have probably always been the go to when it comes to accessories for the PlayStation. The Gold Headset is no exception. After using it for hours at a time, I’m really satisfied with my purchase. The headset overall has a nice build and updated look from the last gold headset. Sound quality from the headset is great and the added virtual surround sound is a really cool feature. The lack of a boom mic leaves something to be desired but the mic quality I’ve noticed is reasonably good. I used it for voice commands at the home menu and it usually picks up my actions fairly well.

These are so comfy and such a improvement on the last gen Gold Headsets. They are so light it almost feels like there's nothing in the box. I love that Sony removed the hinge. They also fit great with my PSVR.

I recommend these earphones for game playing on PS4. The sound really takes you into the game and having no chord completes it all. Nice to be able not to hear surrounding sounds when watching videos too.

First i will say these headphones do sound better and more detailed than the previous gold. first iteration of gold were huge, but oh so comfy, fit well around my large ears, and shounded great, second and third (this one) look the same, slimmer profile however sit just around my ears, and not as spacious. The sound profile is good, you have an option to use the PS companion app to set a preset and then use a button on the headset toggle between on and preset mode on the fly, all in all a goodbye for sound but unfortunate for those with larger ears from the original gold wireless behemoths!

I went through three headsets before landing on this one. This is my favorite so far. Love the color, love that there isn’t a mic right at my mouth and i love that it’s wireless.

Pairs right away, decently holds a charge, and the sound is great. I play SFV and EA sports games and I always get lost in gaming once these bad boys come on.

This is the perfect headset for PS4. Has a great battery life and uses the same micro USB to charge as the PS4 controller. The sound and voice are premium quality. Just what you would expect from Sony.

I had the first version and they were great but this one 10 times better great sound quality and super lightweight so you wont even notice you have them on

As my title says, this feels really cheap. I paid about $76 for it, brand new, on sale on black friday. Im assuming they retail somewhere closer between $90 and $100. For that price, i dont get why you need a transmitting device to plug into the playstation instead of just making it bluetooth compatible or at least easily readable for the playstation. The sound is good and its light weight. But with that price, id spend a couple extra bucks and get actual headphones or a different pair of gaming headphones. This was disappointing.

Product as described and great intermediate (affordable/quality) for PS4 gaming. No real issues with pairing headset with PS4. Instructions that came with headset are less than desirable so searched for more detailed instructions on PS4 website to complete paring and setup. Only issue encountered was figuring out how to hear other players in-game audio during multi-player online gaming. It was as simple as turning up "players" volume which is located opposite side of the game audio switch on the headset. Sound quality and microphone reception is above average compared to price of headset. Recommend.

These feel more on ear than over ear. I guess maybe they’re sturdier than the old PS Gold headset since they removed the folding hinges, but the lack of folding is a big loss to me. They also just don’t seem to sound as good as the old PS Gold headset. But it has great integration with the console that you don’t get with many 3rd party headsets. Specifically game/chat mix adjustments directly on the headset instead of fiddling with game menus. Which is the whole reason I lean toward PS specific headsets like this.

Lightweight, good sound and decent mic. The main negative the headcups are on the smaller side. This Gold Headset is better then the old version due to the headband being one piece with no hinges.

I prefer the wireless version for gaming and this one is great. The sound quality is incredible, super lightweight, and mic output seems to being doing well too.,

This headset is very light, the sound is very good. I do shooters a lot and I can tell the difference in footsteps and very small detail to help me choose my course of action. I'm a fan

These were for my daughter. For the price, I think these are at the top. Bose may be better, but you also have the price. These also has a hidden mic, that according to my daughter improves her voice when she is speaking by adding clarity and noise suppression. Her friends have commented that these are clear. She said the sound is great. I also like the quality of Sony products and this item is no different. It has great quality and construction. Other head phones seems to break easily in the head band area or where the band connect to the earpieces. This headphone does not appear to suffer that design issue.

Can't beat these, they're made by the same ppl that made the playstation, so u know they're super compatible. Feels good, sounds good & looks like Beats headphones.

Durable and sleek! Have been using them a lot. They work better than a lot of bulky headphones and I can hear footsteps in video games very well.

I bought this headset a little after Christmas and haven't had any problems with it yet. The sound quality impressed me and they feel sturdy and comfortable.

This headset has great sound and works marvelously. Also is very comfortable, the only thing is that the app doesn't bring a lot of game options but that is the app not the headset fault

Was on the fence about getting these, glad I did. Great sound and mic, comfortable, and easy to use. Just wish more game developers make sound apps for this. Still great regardless.
