Good choice, not an upgrade

I am comparing this to a Canon

The Canon records a more true color and I have to adjust this Sony to match. But the wide angle lens, 4K and sound quality makes up for this. I am using the app that connects this Sony camera's WiFi to my iphone for remote control record start & stop with zoom control of the video picture.

I only wish you could record 5.1 surround sound in 4K. There’s a blue dot glare through the lens while aiming at bright light objects. I was about to return the camcorder for this reason, but quickly found out that it wasn’t a defect and that the solution is to either use a lens hood or zoom in slightly. It’s a wide angle lens issue.
