Great camera, easy to handle and Small. I love it and with tripped is very easy to video tape too.

I haven't fully tested the camera other than a couple of short takes. The 52mm UV lens I got to protect the camera lens and the cap holder to protect the glass UV lens. My previous camcorder took dv tapes and the updated programs don't let you import from tape or fire wire. I liked the 4k aspect as well as the anti-shake on the new camera and when you close the view screen it turns off. Should be great on vacation, no tapes.

I have owned several Sony cam corder over the years and this one is the best ever. It is simple to se and the features are outstanding. I use it indoors and out doors and find it not only easy to use ut the picture quality is outstanding. The feature with this unit are amazing.

I've used a Sony Camcorder for years and years. During that time I amassed a list of things I would like to have if I ever replaced it. Well, the time came along and so did the AX33. It has every feature I've wanted and the picture on my HD television is awesome!

Have always bought Sony for over 30 years — and this purchase confirmed only Sony Camcorders will do! Easy to use, clear crisp videos, low light capable and lightweight!

Video and audio quality are excellent! Love the ring knob for manual focus and the balanced optical system for great steady footage!

This recorder is so easy to switch between photos and videos. You just have to watch your settings because high pixels take up huge amounts of space on computers and SD cards so have xtra cards ready if you’re going for the highest setting!

Purchased the floor model from a Best Buy far from me. For the price point, I figured at the very least, it would make a decent Zoom-corder (get it!?) for meetings, and all I had to do was buy what was missing from the box. Three months later, I am happy to report that this unit fares way better than I anticipated. + For a floor model, the only thing wrong with it is the bottom of the camcorder. All that time being screwed on to the mount, it may done cosmetic damage to the bottom screw plate. The mount still worked. + Once the firmware was updated, I was quickly introduced to 4K recording. I hardly use it, as the vast majority of my sessions are done in 720p, and when I create my how-to-videos, I do so in 1080p. The lens, viewfinder and screen were all intact, and battery that came with the unit allowed me to do a 180min recording non-stop. I was thoroughly impressed. - The screen setup and settings access was and is a bit cumbersome. The less I mess with those controls, the better it has been for me. - Photo-taking is definitely not its strongest suite. Now it could be because I have a M50 from Canon, but for a 4K camera, I thought I could appreciate a photo from this camcorder. Let me put it this way, I find myself pulling stills from the movies I do than using the pictures I take. So, why 5 stars? Because when I think about the fact that this was a floor model, the price I paid, and its original purpose, this camcorder is all that and more. I can only hope that the AX53 remedies the settings on the screen to make it superior to my model camcorder!

I use this camera for filming informative videos to be used on YouTube and websites. I like the larger physical size of the camera allowing better filming and control of zoom properties. Currently filming in 1080 but will advance to 4K as my computer processing is updated. The only complaint is the tiny power button, I have large hands. A solid choice for me and will buying a second unit to enhance my filming sessions allowing more than one perspective.

Excellent camcorder,easy to use, easy to learn how to improve recording technique. Good for night recording outside. Great for recording high school football games. I look forward to using it for high school baskrtball games.

This is a fun toy. Easy to use, good quality, light weight & a great picture.

My problem with video camera is holding it still enough for good shots. The steadyshot feature of this camera is great. No more bouncing shots during zoom. Camera also has HD and 4K feature recording and excellent playback.

I purchased this camera for a school project (I also wanted a new camera before said project) and I LOVE IT! The video quality is amazing and the sound is clear as well. I can't wait to really get into all of the features :)

i haven't had a lot of time to use this camera so there may be features that i have not yet found. For pros: great image quality, great low light capability, rock solid build. For cons: some of the doors that protect access ports make it a little difficult to get to those ports. I would be a little concerned about snapping off the doors at the hinge over time, but they really are solid and can probably take some abuse. The unit does NOT have a built in flash or video light so depending on intended use you may want to figure to add the accessory light. I have not found a way (yet) to directly connect this to a TV for live monitoring. it seems this feature is not available for 4K output, only for regular HD. It seems like the camera records in 4K, but has to process 4K video outside the camera maybe through the "Play Memories" app to obtain 4K viewing.
