I got this camcorder in order to start making art videos for my Youtube channel, and, so far, it's proven to be a great starter camera for video-making. While it doesn't have a touch screen, navigating the menus isn't too difficult with the nub. It has settings for indoor and outdoor lighting, although I've found it better to adjust certain settings manually, One thing I didn't like about this camera was that the instruction manual provided doesn't really explain the different settings and options in the menus, so if you want to find the best settings for your filming situation, you'll likely have to do your own research if you know nothing about cameras.

Bought this for my daughter's 12th bday. She's used it a handful of times and has no complaints. I just wish she'd use it more often. Maybe then I'd be able to give it a better review.

The camera is light weight. Has a far zoom. You can get still frames from downloading videos. The picture quality is awesome and does everything we need.

This camera is very compact and comfortable in your hand. It is very easy to operate and has a great picture

The camcorder has a good battery life, and it works great for what I need. The sound quality and play back work great on the TV as well.

My son wanted this camera so he could make movies with his friends. It's compact and the image doesn't move around a lot when they are moving. Great for college kids. Easy on the wallet.

This camcorder is easy to use and very light weight. The only drawback is you need to manually open and shut the shutter.

Purchased the Sony Handycam to do quick videos. Easy to use. Wish it had a built in hard drive but does not. Must use a card. Mini at that. Does the job.

Great little hand held. The quality is much better then expected. I did have to get a sd card which I was not expecting but so happy with the purchase.

We bought this to take film of my son's soccer games and for the money you cannot beat the value for what we bought it for. The picture quality and ease of operation are big pluses.

Daylight video is very good, I took it to a wedding and dark scenes are not good. I real reason I bought this was this camcorder used the same battery as Sony action camcorder HDR-AS50 I own. It doesn’t have WiFi or Bluetooth connection nor built in storage. But it has extra battery storage compartment, check YouTube video for how to remove the cover. Sony could have made it 2 batteries connected, so that it will last 2 times longer. No touch screen, but I’m fine with joystick it came with.
