My only problem with the purchase was that Best Buy offered a free Shutterfly hard cover photobook with the purchase and sent a code by email. I lost the email and can't find out online how to get a new code from Best Buy.

Great value for the money

This works way better than a phone or a camera. Great zoom and steady. Excellent reviews from other sources as well. Exactly what I was hoping for and more.

Best camcorder and more

XAVC-S. The regular codec the competitors use is probably about 22 megabits. XAVC-S is 50 and normally used in broadcast television! That's a big difference and a gracious addition to this outstanding camcorder. That is the reason I will only buy Sony.

I'VE TOOK CAM WITH ME ON MY AMTRAK TRIP TO DC, AND HAD A GREAT TIME WITH IT!! IT'S VERY EASY TO OPERATE AND THE PLAYBACK QUALITY IS AMAZING ! Good Compact Camera

Although it is capable of taking video at night and has a low lighting feature that can be enabled it would be nice if it had a light that could be switched on and off as one of my previous camcorders had.

It would help if a cable was supplied to transfer images directly to the RCA jacks on a TV or VCR. I had to purchase one separately.
