Our main goal when purchasing this was to have something we could use to capture those moments we never want to fade. We have captured countless family gatherings with this, and I can't wait to look back on them with my children when they are older.

Great camera so far. Easy to operate, great price for the camera

I bought this camcorder after reading several reviews about it being a good budget camcorder. It might not have all the "bells and whistles" that the higher end camcorders have however, this camcorder has exceeded my expectations for its quality, usability and overall functionality.

The camera is merely adequate. The audio and video quality are good for what I'm using it for. The included manual says it's for this camera but the information appears to be for models other than this one. The software and app available through Sony fails to work for this model. I figured out how to get the camera to work for my purposes. However, the description and the documentation were very misleading. The average user would have much difficulty figuring out how to use this camera because there is no user friendly documentation for it.

We are far from professionals but this camera serves our needs perfectly. We pretty much use this for recording our kids sports, holidays and fun home movies. It has every thing we need for what we use it for. Another quality Sony product

This is good enough for casual use, which is what most people have probably purchased it for. The device feels a bit cheap, but I think this is mainly due to its light weight, which can also be seen as a benefit. The menu system and manner of accessing it seems clunky and outdated, but once you get used to it it works alright. The video quality is average, better in good light. The stereo audio is very good. I have not yet taken advantage of all of the features, and I cannot yet vouch for long-term durability, but generally I think this recorder will meet my needs.

The lightness and portability of this camera is a must-get for anyone who films sports.

I got this camera on sale and it was a great investment. Easy to use, operate and understand. The software to edit saved items o your computer is sometimes confusing, but after several minutes using it, it becomes more understandable

For the occasional shooter who doesn't need a whole lot of features and cost, this is an easy to use, competent little recorder. Convenient built-in USB connector makes this easy to charge and download to your PC. Great value.

This handycam can be a good beginner camera.. It performs average in low light but has a very good zoom capability. Definitely worth the money.

Bought this for my 8 year old son. He wanted a video camera over a hoverboard...who would known? It’s been almost a year and I’m happy to report it has held up extremely well. Has great video quality for the price.

Bought this for my son who has interest in making videos for a YouTube channel. Easy to use, easy for him to figure out. Like having the USB connection cable built in. Software takes a little while to figure out, but not too difficult.

We have a dozen training programs coming up for work and needed a easy to use versatile camcorder and after checking reviews on line we chose this Sony Handycam. This was a great choice and is easy to use, has 8 hours or record time with a 128 Gb micro chip.
