For basic recording, it does it's job admirably. The interface isn't overtly complicated and everything is pretty easy to handle and use. The one con I do have for this camera is that it feels cheaply built. I'm afraid if my wife or I ever drop the camera, it'll break instantly. Other than that, I would recommend this camera to anyone looking to film home movies and similar events.

The video quality is fair to poor. Videos come out grainy. You could take better quality video on an iPhone. The quality of pictures that you can take is fair to poor as well. The camcorder is extremely fragile too. If you accidentally drop it, the camcorder could easily break or become damaged. Setup is easy, and it is fairly easy to use. It’s lightweight and portable, which is nice. It would be an okay starter camcorder if not for the high price of $229.00 at Best Buy and other retailers. Go with something else. This one is just not worth the price.
