I bought this camcorder to replace my ancient MiniDV camcorder. I was not dissapointed at all. The clarity of the HD video is amazing. I was most impressed with the steady shot feature. No more shaky video. The only drawback I have found is that it is not so great in low light conditions. Easily solved with fairly inexpensive lights.

This recorder is great so far. No complaints. Its very easy to use and the on screen menu options are simple to follow. I use this camera primarily for recording my kid's sporting events and family events. The playback in HD is incredible. Very crisp and clear. I would recommend this camera to even the first time buyer.

Needed a great compact video cam with high quality, the ability to connect wireless audio after I buy it, and SD card memory slots. This cam has it all! MicroSD cards are great. The folks in Best Buy helped me choose this one. VERY easy to set up and begin using in 10 mins.

A lot of fun! Love the classic style and the controls are easy to figure out. Picture quality seems good, but haven't used it too much yet. Would love to bring it on the next vacation!

Purchased the video camera the day of my sons recital, and with minimum setup time was able to capture his recital. The zoom range from wide angle to full zoom is almost unbelievable. Video and sound quality are great and you can take still pictures without interrupting the video recording.

Videos are clear and vivid with good sound quality. Lightweight and compact, exactly what I was looking for. Didn't give it 5 stars because it's impossible to see the screen in bright sunlight and it's a little awkward to use the zoom slider. May take some getting used to.

If you have kids, get a camcorder. Yes, the phone works, though you can do so much more with camcorder, especially zooming in. This is an excellent camcorder - easy to use, small, and dependable.

The image stabilization on this cam is awesome, the amount of jitter associated with handheld cams almost disappears. Love the multiple recording modes and dual recording modes! Gets close to 3 hours recording on second highest resolution setting. Would Def recommend.
