NOT Apple iPhone APP friendly, does NOT install on iPhone, so you can NOT use the phone to control the camera. Do NOT buy if you intend to use your iPhone, Sony is VERY slow to update the compatible app. I think it said iOS 10 and that is OLD OLD OLD.

Capable unit at a reasonable price. Are there better? Sure. Can you spend a lot more and get more features? Yep. Will you use them all? Give it some thought before spending more than you need to.

Camera is very High quality. I Do recommend This camera. Great use if doing underwater things or going to a waterpark. It also comes with an underwater case

First order from BestBuy.com, first Sony product in years and it had a bad SD card socket right out of the box. Bought for an upcoming special occasion, trying to return at local store. Won't buy Song again.

This little camera was and is hard to work. I haven't even use it yet. TOO complicated

Just to get out of the way, this is not a GoPro in case you haven't figured that out for yourself, I have no problem with it not being a GoPro, and considering I paid 150$ for this product versus 300$ due to brand recognition, and I don't regret it. This camera is considered "entry-level" in comparison to Sony's full action cam line, which includes 4k recording now. With that, I am good, I don't plan on making documentaries with it. I do some home improvement instructional videos, and even a palm sized camcorder became tedious to lug around and adjust to a bipod. With this, the included waterproof cover and the headband/helmet mount, I can work with both of my hands, and the lens is protected by a clear plastic case. Speaking of the clear case, this thing is awesome and a detriment at the same time. On one hand, I dont have to worry about a nail flying up and smacking it, getting sawdust and dirt all over it., or even falling in a random pond that suddenly springs up in my backyard. On the other hand, you should not have this thing going too long inside the case, after filming for 7 minutes, I took the headband off and the clear case was noticeably hot. So lesson learned there, don't do an hour long docudrama in the waterproof case. Piggybacking on that, I have yet to throw this thing in a pool or take a bath with it...I somehow think my channel would not get many likes if I did that. There is an accessory out there, called a Live View Remote, looks decent enough, connects to the camera, a little bigger than a wristwatch. But, lets face it, are you going to spend 50$ (Version 1) or 150$ (Version 2) when you have a smart phone? Probably not. I can tell you the app does everything the LVR does, possibly more. It still does lag some when connected to your phone, but once you import your video, it plays smoothly. There is still a plethora of features I haven't messed with, slow-motion, time-lapse, etc. But the coolest thing I did was mount this on my rifle for hunting, granted, I had to go to the third party market for a mount, but if you do enough research, you'll track down a good one. Bottom line, not all of us can afford a GoPro, and there are options out there less expensive than even this one. Heck, you can buy a GoPro attachment so you can make this Action Cam fit with GoPro accessories for around 10-15$ if you choose. This is a very good camera that will do the average enthusiast justice.
