Video is brighter than Go pros. Sound with waterproof housing on isn't good (there are "fix it" videos on YouTube), but sound is great without it. Live View Remote wrist band is awesome, and controls the camera. Will be using in Philippines this year, at the beach, Lord willing. can link up smart phone and view live or control video and also edit. Has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Will enjoy using this action cam. Doesn't come with lens protector, but can order from ebay or Amazon (Good for when not using waterproof housing).

My friend bought a gopro 5 the same day I got this Sony so we could compare them. I really liked that Sony made de camera and the case tripod ready, it has stereo sound, it's very very light so it's easy to carry with me everywhere I go. I'd doesn't make movies in 4k, but you can make time-lapse in 4k. The case makes the sound muffled but the image quality is still good. I really like sony's vivid colors, so thus was the best choice for me! I do miss the touch screen but it's very easy to navigate with the 3 buttons. Battery lasts a lot longer than the gopros.

This is a great action camera for the right situation. It is perfect for mounting to a bicycle, headgear, kayak and the like, but I wouldn't say it's a replacement for a GoPro due to size and the GoPro having many more accessories. There is one HUGE plus and that is the wrist strap mini camera. Just to give an example of how you can be creative with usage; I set up the camera on a mini tripod and place it at the corner of our camper. I can then walk around both inside and out and use the wrist strap camera to keep an eye on the kids.

Brought for my sil, he loves it! We used it on vacation for snorkeling and in the pool. The pictures are good! It's small, lightweight and easy to use. My only concern is losing it because of the size.

Excellent image quality. So small and light. I love the wrist view finder/remote. Haven't tried water proof case yet but am excited to have it.

Works great underwater. Produces amazing picture. Also love the Highlight Movie Maker feature.

Great still photos and video!!!!!!!! sound quality was ok on my motorcycle not the greatest but it'll do. Only downside is the night time stills i don't think i tried night time video yet but the stills are useless, however i didn't try to edit them yet with sonys software but i doubt it will do anything. If anyone knows how to get better night time footage with this camera let me know thanks!

Not good for long usage the case gets hot fast and turns off. Also the video quality isn't as good show get the 4k one.

Good camera but hard to find accessories. The waterproof case is nice but for full price I’d go for a GoPro instead.

Bestbuy in Doral, FL sold me open box camera for in store pickup, basically I just wasted my time for nothing. I’m really surprised how such big brand like bestbuy can go that low. The camera was packed in brown box, and it was missing everything, other than camera body. It was feeling like I was at flea market but not bestbuy. The item I purchased was supposed to be in fully working condition with signs of use, it was missing 5 items out of 6. Items like this should be disposed but not sold in Best Buy. Going so low...

Great recording picture. Feature packed and with the wrist remote, you can get professional picture quality.

if you like to shoot video on the go this is the one for you, I use it to film bands in bars and the sound and video in low light is good..

Used this remote camera mounted on the starting line clock for boat races and it captured great video while allowing me to film with my Sony mc 2000.

This cam is great for on the go. I had some bad luck with our GoPro and this is much more user friendly! Accessories are much better and more versatile for kids o adults.

I am very pleased with this camera. I just wish I could capture audio even with the water proof housing on. I like the security I get while is is protected

This camera really serves its purpose well as an action sports camera. I prefer the features to any of the GoPro.

Was looking for a way to tape my child's sporting events, with out using a hand held. figured the wide angles would allow that but this is more of a action cam so not a good fit for me.
