It was a great deal and a little upgrade from my Sony HT-A5000 that I was using for my main tv. I also have the RS5 rear speakers and an SW3 subwoofer. I was really happy about the great deal and the increase in power with the HT-A7000 I bought from Best Buy. I noticed something didn’t sound right very quickly. I wasn’t sure if I had the settings wrong or what but I wasn’t hearing sound from 2 of the speakers on the front channel. I called Sony support and after trouble shooting and sending in my copy of my open box item receipt, I was advised to send the soundbar in for repair. Fine, no big deal, the Sony tech 2 agent told me u was cleared for repair based on me sending him a copy of the receipt. I decided to agree with this procedure due to the fact that Best Buy didn’t have anymore of this item in stock. Long story short, the repair company, after receiving the item is saying, per a conversation they with with Sony themselves, that this item wasn’t covered under warranty. The Best Buy app, website, and store employees, including the one that sold the soundbar to me, all state that open box items still have the manufacturers warranty. I know this, Best Buy knows this, but for some reason Sony is saying they won’t honor my warranty because my receipt says “satisfactory “ instead of “good”. The app when I purchased it said “good” as did the sticker on the soundbar indicating it was open box. So now I’m screwed. This is actually the second open box item that was not checked prior to selling it from this Tucson location, and the fourth that has been misrepresented. I REALLY would like some help from Best Buy or Sony on this. I just want the repair done so I can enjoy my sound system! I have purchased a 65” A80K, an HT-A5000, an HT-A3000, the SW5 and SW3 rear satellite speakers, an SW3 subwoofer and an S40C system, all Sony and almost all from Best Buy. I need help! Supremely disappointed!! The sound bar is amazing! I know this because I have experienced one that was fully functioning. It blew me away as does almost every Sony product I have. The rating is based on my experience with this item due to incorrect information, and terrible communication between Sony and Best Buy. Also, Geek Squad truly needs to check these items instead of just plugging them in and seeing power is on. They are supposed to be thoroughly inspected. This is the fourth open box item that has been completely misrepresented or not functioning “as new”. One was even sent to me with a remote that wasn’t even compatible with the soundbar I purchased and it was labeled “excellent “. Just poor employee performance with that one. Another was “good” condition and had NO accessories at all. None of the essential items were there, actually none of the accessories were there so total misrepresentation. I have water a lot of time due to situations like this on Best Buy’s part.

I have an 85 inch tv so im pretty far away from soundbar and its hard to read what its saying like volume level and ither things. Other than that i love it very happy with purchase.

We did get the sub and will add back speakers later but may not be needed. Use BT feature for streaming music and have hooked up to smart home system. It is definitely worth the price. They were spot on calling this high end.

Huge plus that all the HDMI ports are 2.1 enabled. To get the best sound it helps to manually calibrate, but the automatic calibration works in a pinch. Very happy with this purchase!
