Equipped this with a Sony AJ80, and first with a sony x700 4k player followed by a Panasonic UBP820. Why did I switch the 4K player to panasonic? Because the Sony would skip and glitch when playing dolby vision 4k discs, the thing i bought it for. Even with enhanced format activated, even with new certified hdmi cables used. The soundbar has its own wonderul problems. The UI design is barebones, minimal white text on black background. Sound optimization, makes loud noises to calibrate your room. I've had to do this numerous times. Why you ask? Well, the soundbar loves to do the following: -crackling noise when playing dobly atmos audio or 5.1 -display a large static screen or sometimes pink screen when resuming a dolbly vision video or even a regular bluray video on a ps5 when connected to the hdmi passthrough -likes to randomly disconnect from the rear speakers even when they are within reach like 3 feet away from the soundbar -the latest feature, it loads the audio of your disc but starts flashing black screen and then no signal from the hdmi you are connected to in the soundbar, with no resolution other than fully resetting the soundbar and setting up the whole thing again. When it works, it works well to be honest. The sound is big and heavy paired with the subwoofer you have to buy separately. Thats really hilarious to me, because the integrated subwoofer is nothing compared to the seperate one you have to buy. With constant issues and sony support blaming everything else but the soundbar, I say steer clear of this sounbar unless it hits a massive sale. Otherwise you're in for and annoying investment.

The Worst experience of my life.

I purchased my sound bar from best buy as an "excellent" condition open box during a sale for an amazing price. I was excited to receive and install it and it shipped fairly quickly. Granted, that quick shipping was with the worst care possible, there was virtually no protection of the sound barand the box has missing cardboard with only TAPE protecting the unit itself when it arrived. Obviously tape was not sufficient protection for the unit and it arrived completed damaged. I called customer service and you would be SURPRISED how hard was it to get help on this. A day after receiving, the sale changed and the open box prices went up. There was by the way MANY open boxes still available but the customer service call center kept telling me there wasn't. Any way, after some time being transferred and having to re explain my situation, I got laughed at by the representative and hung up on. When I called back and asked for a supervisor, the same person pick up and kept saying "I will take care of it", well they requested a replacement and it was immediately cancelled and therefore I was not able to get a replacement through customer care anymore because they only allow 1 replacement. I then called customer service again to check on my situation and they said they see no replacement placed for me which led to me being more frustrated. They insisted that I go into the nearest best buy store and they would take care of me. When I went to the store, they did NOT do anything, matter of fact they insisted online deals with online and to call them back, It was end of day so I had to wait till the next day to call back and when I did, I wasted 2 hours on the phone being transferred nonstop and was not given a supervisor NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I ASKED. They insisted I go to a different store this time and said they already talked to the store and the store will take care of. Spoiler alert!! THEY DID NOT, arrived in store and they again told me they wont do anything for me. I discovered that the soundbar was actually shipped by ANOTHER local store and decided to go there and give them a piece of my mind. Thankfully the staff was actually really nice.. however they couldnt give me a replacement. They only had a far worse condition version of the unit available and provided me that instead. I felt ABSOLUTELY cheated, every store insisted I just return the unit and pay $300 MORE for the exact same "open box" condition unit even though I had the sale price. They wouldnt just replace the unit for me. Now I am stuck with a dented unit that works 80% of the time. I am so upset, I bought thousands worth from Best Buy and never expected a company I loved and cherished for so long to do me so wrong (that rhymed). Anyway, now I am shipping off a different unit I bought from best buy 8 months ago that is also damaged to Sony so that they can repair it under warranty (HT A5000). I am going to wait till the other unit of mine comes back from repair before I figure out what to do with this one but I am just DISGUSTED by the business practices of Best buy. Hours wasted just to get a broken unit. I cannot emphasize enough, buyer beware, if you purchase from Bestbuy, you will not be helped if they messed up. You cant even call the physical stores or work with the call center to get help.

It's great but..

The bar sounds amazing and I love it. However sometimes when I turn the TV on it switches to the TV speakers and I have to re-enable the arc wired speaker in the menu. I have another LG C1 with a Sonos bar connected to it and it doesn't happen. So, I am knocking a star off of this one far that reason only. Other than that it really does sound great. It's expensive though.

Unplug the Soundbar power cord and plug it back in
1. Turn off the soundbar.
2. Unplug the power cable from the wall outlet.
3. After one minute, replug the power cable back to the wall outlet.
4. Turn on the soundbar.
Verify if this resolves the issue.
- Disconnect the HDMI cable or the optical digital cable and then reconnect it
- Disconnect the cable from the soundbar and playback device and then reconnect the cable.
If the issue is resolved, the issue may have been caused by a faulty connection with the cable.
