Perfect Sound Bar !

Sony sound bar only takes minutes to set up (for me about 20 minutes) and your set. I was impressed with this sound bar with my movies,music it's great for me not as good as a receiver but I knew that going in. Bought the the small Sony sub and Sony rear Dolby Atmos which are amazing. Very happy with the Sony sound bar.

Great soundbar, unclear documentation

If you choose to wall mount it, the documentation is very unclear on how to do it. Mounting brackets are provided but wall screws are not. The brackets are not spaced to my studs so I needed drywall anchors. The unit is too heavy to support on screws alone.

Must have soundbar!

The soundbar is amazing as a stand alone piece but do yourself a favor if you can swing it, and get the sub and surround speakers. I'm a long time Bose customer and this package blows away anything I've ever heard before. Truly immersive incredible sound and it pairs seamlessly with my Sony Bravia XR A80j oled television. Connecting the TV to the soundbar to be used as a center channel is truly amazing!

Most sound bars I can't hear the voices very well but I can with this one. I used to really get into tweaking all the settings to get everything just right but I don't have the time or patience for that anymore. With this I was able to plug it in and it made a few adjustments and it has worked well from there. I have it paired with a sony tv and I use it with an apple tv, and the way it powers up is a little odd and I haven't figured out if it's the way I set it up or if it's just kind of wonky. But it doesn't bother me enough to keep screwing with it. I would definitely recommend it.

I have really enjoyed this soundbar with my AWOL LTV 2500. It was simple to setup, doesn't require an app to use, has its own GUI and remote, can map out your room to adjust how it sounds, pairs with the subwoofer instantly, and just sounds great. If you can grab this on sale like I did even better. This is the perfect pair for watching movies on your projector or nice TV.

I have spent thousands of dollars on ultra high end individual speakers to complete surround sound Atmos correctly with a reference Amplifier...that said this is an equivalent setup in all innone soundbar! Quality with great ups, mids and even some lows...add the sold seperately sub and tou have the ultimate imitation surround for 1/4 the normal quality cost! A must own for any home theater enthusiast and especially for those wanting the best the chrapest cost!

The setup with my Sony TV was quick and easy. The functionality is smart and seamless. But the iOS app (Music Center) doesn’t even work. I connect the speaker to my phone, perform setup within the app, and then it crashes. After that, the app crashes on startup. No amount of troubleshooting fixes this. Its a broken app. This makes some of the soundbar’s features totally inaccessible. I expect more from Sony, especially with this price tag.

Set up is intuitive with a well-written manual and video menu. Room acoustics are measured and accommodated through Sony's quick room analysis routine which can be modified with every change to the viewing space. Surround sound is handsomely created using only the front-of-the-room mounting location. Serious engineering went into this new class of audio reproduction.

The setup is very easy and handy. I have paired with sub offer and rear speakers. The sound quality is topnotch and nothing less than theater. It is just below top when we listen music alone. I have seen sound dropping sometimes when using Netflix, i figured out that we have to adjust audio setting in the Netflix app. For the price, I wouldn't expect this kind of small issues, i hope sony fix it through updates.

The HT-A7000 features a pre-programmed sound effects that are tailored to different kinds of sound sources. To get the most out of this soundbar- especially when listening to music, we recommend selecting the sound mode Music:

And for the audio drop out issue, we are not sure what brand/model of TV you have this soundbar connected to. However, if your audio cut out issue happen only with the subwoofer or rear speakers, please follow the steps provided on this link:

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you are coupling this with a Sony TV that has the center speaker option like the A 90j Oled -/-/ then this is a 5 star Soundbar especially when adding the SW5 subwoofer I originally had the Bose900 and 700 combo to go with my initial A90J purchase. I could not get the Bose to consistently play with the Sony TV so I switched to the Sony Soundbar and sub combo. At first I was a bit disappointed- compared to the Bose. Then I hooked up the S Center supplied cable to the TV and then everything changed for the better. Everything came to life and both the Tv and the soundbar work together and when you add the sub —- it is incredible. My rating on this soundbar without a Sony Tv that has that feature— is a 4. But with that feature it is an easy 5 plus Hope that makes sense. I do not know why Sony does not promote this feature more. On the internet there are videos about using the Sony A 90 j as a dedicated center channel if you are using a conventional AV receiver and normal speakers not being a Soundbar. But there was very little about hooking the 7000 Soundbar to the Sony TV. I did not do this at first as I thought that the Tv would replace the center speakers on the Soundbar. It does not. They work together and put out incredible sound together. Sony does not do a good job of explaining this in the manual or in any videos. If you have a newer Sony tv with both the improved sound system and the S Center input on the back of the tv—- this is your soundbar along with the Sony sub

Not only does it look good but it sounds as good as it looks. I have this paired with sw5 subwoofer and if you are looking HT audio and have a Sony tv that utilizes the center the channel mode then this is for you. Without the subwoofer it's ok definitely lacking bass without it but dialog remains clear with or without the sub.

I was going to buy the Bose system with my Sony A90J 77 and I bought this system first with the sub and surround sound speakers. WOW!! This sounds amazing in my living room. The Dolby Atmos is GREAT. My wife doesn't like me right now but who cares i can't hear her anyway with this LMFAO.

I returned and bought the Sony x90j tv with the 300 watt sub and 3s surrounds. the surrounds are fantastic with plenty of volume. The HT A7000 sound bar is very expensive but you get what you pay for. this sound bar is well worth the price. If I could rate it higher I would.

I was SHOCKED by how GREAT this turned out to be!
