Best soundbar for the price

Dolby Atmos works flawless and audio quality is amazing. Came from a Samsung q60 soundbar which has pretty good lows, but this sound bar blows that one out of the water. Dialogue sounds crispy clear and the bass kicks when its needed.

The ARC/eARC interface and wireless sub woofer made installation easy and completed in about ten minutes. This thing really sounds good for the money and much better than other more expensive choices from the well known speaker manufacturers. Go listen and be amazed.

But it will be exchange for a good deal sony HTA3000 with a sars3s subwofeer open box for 200 bucks more.The reason why will will take it back to the store: The bad. It lag of base It lag of clarity It lag of dialoge It lags volume It can get distortion Specially doring music. No option of adding back speakers Vizio sell better for way cheaper. The goods. The good sofware trick your ears The dobly sound in movie aceptable. The side of the bar is aceptable. Good incorporation for a sony tv with Arc

The sound bar is connected to a Sony XBR 55A8H TV via eArc HDMI. The sound sent to the sound bar will occasionally quit. No sound at all. I manually set the sound output to the TV Speakers, in this case, is the acoustic tv screen. ( a great alternative from traditional speakers). Then change the audio output back to the external speakers. Not sure why this happens. Most connection problems have been HDMI cable related in my experience. I haven’t swapped out any cables yet to diagnose the problem. The other concern is only 1 HDMI input. At $600, there should be more versatility with this sound bar. They go on sale a lot. Don’t pay MSRP.

Subwoofer is a little on the week side. I have it maxed out and it’s still underwhelming. Good for small rooms and it’s a Sony.

You may also want to try one of the sound modes of the HTG700 to further enhance your listening experience.
Standard Mode - This will allow you to hear the sound of a TV program clearly.
Cinema - This mode is suitable for watching movies. You feel immersed by the sound that travels behind you and surrounds your entire body
Music - Vividness, and glossiness of the sound are expressed in detail. This mode is suitable for enjoying music in a way that moves you
You can also use AUTO SOUND mode which will change the Sound Mode from Standard, Cinema, and Music based on the content played.

Suprised Coming From Traditional 5.1

I was skeptical that a sound bar would give me the same experience. I have to say I am very suprised by this sound bar. I purchased as part of a bundle with the Sony X90J TV. It doesn't disappoint. It sounds great and it really does sound like there are rear speakers. Playing video games it truly fills the room with sound. That being said it doesnt provide the same amount of rear surround as systems with rear speakers but it's close. The only con I would say is the sub even at max volume doesn't provide enough bass. I am not one that turns the bass way up any way but even I could use a little more. Compared to the next level up Sony soundbar, I prefered the look of this one and didn't see the need for wifi in a soundbar. All in all it's worth the money. It's a good size and I dont have to worry about speaker wire managment any more.

I did a lot of research and landed on this Sony soundbar and I absolutely love it! It's in the same position as my old one but the sound is soo much better and more full room surround!

Bass is deep and the voices from shows are easily heard. Setup was really easy and fast. Good option I would say for someone who is wanting decent sound without paying a lot of money.

It sounds great, with the subwoofer acting as reinforcement rather than hitting you over the head with womping bass. It can play EDM when I want it to. The only reason I'm leaving a 4 star review and not a 5 star review is the marketing around vertical-blah-blah-blah and Atmos with this sound bar. It's a 3.1 sound bar. There aren't any ceiling speakers. There aren't even any up-firing speakers (not that I'd want those.) Don't insult my intelligence Sony!

At the time if this review it's on sale for $100 less which is honestly the ideal price. I bought it two weeks ago for $600 - go fugure. Great sound quality, and much better than my old 2.1 channel. It's very noticeable when you hear voices on media with the third channel. The subwoofer is pretty decent, too, and music sounds crisp and clean. My only complaint is that it has a 2 second delay when using hdmi, and I have a Sony 950G... I feel like my tv should be new enough not to have that issue especially since it is also a Sony product, and has had the update to receive the Atmos signal, so I'm not sure if you need a 2020 model or later or what that's all about. I'm planning to upgrade to an OLED eventually so fingers crossed I can stop using my optical cord by this time next year.
