Works well with Sony HDTV, but hard to adjust

I'm still trying to figure out how the "bass" controls work.

We apologize on the other hand if you've been facing intermittent sound with it, here are some steps you can try to fix the problem:
1- Make sure the soundbar is up to date, you can do this by downloading the Bravia connect app and then go to settings > software update > update the software
2- Remove wireless devices that may cause interference such as cordless phones, other bluetooth devices, routers etc.
3- Reset the Soundbar to factory settings, you can follow the instructions in the link below: https://helpguide.sony.net/ht/2079/v1/en/contents/TP1000843231.html

Avoid best buy and this disaster

This product has a known defect Sony and Best Buy refuse to fix. Mine began power-cycling within the first year, then completely died at 18 months, stuck in a “Please wait / dEST restart” loop. Neither company helps unless you paid for extra coverage. Worst purchase ever—avoid this disaster.

Maybe I didn't need a sound bar!

I think my old TV with just the TV speakers was better. The salespeople insisted that I needed a sound bar because the rear speakers weren't good enough. The bass only has 3 settings and the volume just shows on the screen as a "bar" rather than the sound level.

Restrictive Bass Settings - None are "Just Right"

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Full disclosure upfront: I bought this sound bar specifically for the purpose of listening to streamed music from my smart TV, to get better/fuller fidelity than my TV speakers, and am not giving my rating based on any other use (e.g., sound quality for movies). For my use, I'm rating this sound bar as "fair", only 2 stars. This sound bar, which has built-in sub woofers, gives you only 3 settings for the bass: Min, Mid, and Max. Min gives you barely-detectable bass and sounds like you're listening to the music on a cheap transistor radio. Mid gives you and adequate amount of bass, but it's "muddy", not clean and punchy, Max gives you on overwhelming amount of bass ... too much that floods the clarity of the music.

Wasted our money

The Geek who came to the house could not fix it. We have called Sony 8 times and talked to their techs and they cannot fix it. The soundbar will sometimes give no sound at all, at other times it changes back to tv speakers for no reason.

Great, especially for a small room

No woofer

Sound did not have much bass, and you had to use a separate remote to control the sound - only one came with it, so we were passing it back and forth among the viewers.
