Misleading Open Box Policy. Multiple large dents

Unfortunately, I purchased it in “like new” condition, and it has multiple large dents. Unsure if this was missed in the inspection process or if it was intentionally misleading. It certainly makes me very wary of Bestbuys open box policy.

I had experience with their previous soundbar models and they're very good. I must also have a faulty unit cause the audio will cutoff for a second or two more often. The sound can get loud but there's no convincing immersion or audio separation or even faux height FX. I have a smart TV with the latest EARC port, paired with a certified HDMI 2.1 cable connected to both the TV and the Sony soundbar. I've used the app and made sure the vertical FX are on while listening to an Atmos content and was disappointed. I returned the unit immediately...

Poor low volume performance

And for this bar to have any chance to compete with Sonos beam or Bose 600 volume level needs to be at 75 percent. At lower volumes this bar is actually worse for dialogue than my Sony A80 J. So in closing if your buying this Sony for a bedroom look elsewhere or use your tv speakers

External subwoofer needed

NO remote or power supply

The power supply did not come with it or remote so returned as I couldn't get it to even turn on. Best buy needs to say what is missing.

Lousy product; Lousy service

Customer service is even worse. Done with BestBuy, other places to buy electronics. I was a good customer, but POOR customer service always wins over good stuff for me.

It's highly unusual for the sound quality to be described as "horrible," and this could indicate a simple setting issue or a problem with the setup. Please consider the following troubleshooting steps:
1) Check all connections: Ensure the HDMI cable is firmly and correctly inserted into the HDMI eARC/ARC port on both the soundbar and your TV. An improper connection can affect sound quality and even cause sound to drop out.
2) Check Sound Settings on your TV: Go into your TV's audio settings and make sure the "Digital Audio Out" format is set to "PCM" and that the output is set to your "Audio System" instead of the TV speakers.
3) Adjust settings on the Soundbar: Use the included remote or the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app on your smartphone to make sure the sound is optimized for your room.

Disappointed in Best Buy and especially Sony!

Very disappointed. I have always purchased Sony products because I never had a problem in the past . Specifically went in to purchase a Sony Soundbar . NO help from Best Buy or Sony ! Wasted money . Very disappointed that this early on , no one offered help or an exchange. I’ll buy a different brand from somewhere else next time .

Lousy Sound Bar
