I purchased this Sony soundbar based upon tech ratings. I bought it as an open box excellent from Best Buy. Its performance is excellent. The Geek Squad did the set up as the instructions are totally useless and required that I go to the App store. However, I would not have purchased it if I hadn't received a discount. At $499 it is overpriced. A Sony Soros would be a better buy at that price. Only purchase if it is on sale at $299 or less.

Works great, nice design and the size fits well right in front of the TV. The sound is excellent and if you want true surround sound you can easily add rear speakers. Very good value for the money.

Fantastic 3.1 Atmos system with just one minor flaw. I always like a soundbar with a LED display, but it's display is way too small to be very useful. I can't read the numbers as you increase or decrease the volume from our bed. You would think since I have it paired to a Sony 4K TV (X80) it would at least display the increase or decrease in volume on the screen, but no such luck. We're using it with our bedroom TV and it's more than adequate to fill our large bedroom with booming sound. Very good bass, better than our Bose 600 soundbar with wireless Bass Unit. We bought it on sale, and it does go on sale fairly often, so wait for a good deal. If you're a Sony TV owner, it's especially a no brainer purchase.

This soundbar packs a lot of punch in a small package. It’s used in a small family room and I really like the virtual surround sound without having all of the other speakers/hardware. The only drawback I’ve seen, is the volume input does delay a bit when using the TV remote.

I like it so far. Have it for my bedroom tv that has terrible speakers. It's a Sony so you really can't go wrong. Sometimes it gets disconnected from arc, but no biggie.

Perfect sound. Bass is just right, options are not as many as some, but over $ 200 off for great quality. Tried JBL and Samsung, they could not even come close to this.

So far so good. Setup was easy. It is not mounted I have it on my tv stand below the tv l. It is connected via Bluetooth and the sound quality is awesome. It can also be connected via hdmi cable. I’m not sure if there is a difference in sound but it sound great via Bluetooth.

This is a great little sound bar for the price. I did get it on sale and I would suggest waiting for that because I’m not sure it’s worth full price. However, for 350 it is fantastic. Really improved the sound of my Sony TV and it’s super easy to use.

This is a great soundbar for the price. My streaming channels and movies make my small living room sound like a theater. The only issue I have is if I'm watching antenna TV, the soundbar won't have sound if the TV station has a weak signal. Otherwise, I'm very pleased for the price point.

This sound bar is awesome! I have very tall ceilings and the regular TV speakers were terrible on the Sony Bravia. I plugged it up very easily and got everything I expected out of it!

This is a replacement purchase. I first bought this soundbar and a 32" W830K Sony TV, linked together with an up-to-date HDMI cable. The audio reception cycled back and forth between the TV speakers and the soundbar speakers multiple times an hour. The geek squad was unable to resolve the problem. I then purchased this replacement soundbar. Recycling continued. I then replaced the TV. No improvement. Sony on-line support was useless. After a large outlay of extra money, replacing the intended HDMI cable with an old-fashioned and less convenient optical cable finally solved the problem. Although reception and sound are now fully acceptable (5 star even), Sony has a technical problem with its hardware that they need to resolve. I could not in good faith recommend this combination to anyone else.

I purchased this soundbar after reading several professional reviews singing its praises, and beating quite many products being sold at a much higher price point. I bought it for my grandsons bedroom, and it’s very effective at filling the room with crisp powerful sound. Very impressive. The unit weighs a ton, so feels very substantial. I’m very pleased with this purchase, and would not hesitate to purchase it again.

Love this soundbar. I wanted a 5-channel soundbar and this gets the job done, great for movies and sports. My one complaint is when I mute this, it will be muted for 2 seconds before it unmutes itself. A little annoying but nothing severe.

Great sound bar, plug & play, tried 2 Bose sound bars that where nice but to much fiddling to get the sound i wanted & you have to use the Bravia app.With Sony you really don’t have to use a app for really good sound but to fine tune it a little the app is easy to use.I bought the SA-SW5 sub woofer also with both i think would please most people , Best Buy makes it easy to return & try a different model.

My husband loved his birthday gift Sony Soundbar! Sleek, compact, and easy to install. Terrific bass and voice audio. Makes movie watching much more enjoyable.
