Seemed to be best option for Sony Tv. Good simulation in surround mode. Haven’t purchased rear speakers but considering. Have had pairing issues on start up a couple of times but have also had internet connection problems. So far am satisfied and would recommend. Not as good as multiple speakers but satisfied for a single speaker with base module. Very noticeable surround effects with movies. Dolby Vision works well. Audio is excellent and makes voices easier to understand. Bass is not as loud as it could be but is enough for me.

Amazing sound. Like sitting in a theater! We added the rear speakers too but with out them the system still sounded terrific. Salesman was very helpful in demonstrating the different systems. Great product and absolutely thrilled with our purchase!!!

Ive always used a 5.1 surround theater system till I ran into this guy right here. At first I saw displayed in the store but didn't bother demoing it because I thought it'd be crappy like other sound bars I had heard before but when my TV Advisor from bestbuy insisted I couldn't believe it. The audio sounds so crisp and detailed, you can here a pin drop in loud movie scene! It's had a few options for audio scenes to choose from. Cinema mode and Music mode are my 2 favorite. Best of all tho, it has Dolby Atmos! This bar shoots sounds in all directions that it made me feel like I was in the scene for a minute. Really recommend this for any audio enthusiast.

Sounds great and pristine. Interface is simple, but not always certain if device is connected to TV or to other devices (game console, blue ray, etc.). Still would highly recommend

This Sony Sound Bar is awesome. This sound system produces a high quality surround sound just like the movie theater. It is very easy to hook all your blue tooth devices to the unit. Easy to set up and operate.

The sound is great especially if the 2 rear speakers are bought with the main system. Had a problem with my first purchase though (an open box) it hanged up especially when the words "HELLO" are displayed on the speaker bar. Tried to fix it to no avail (e.g. deep reset several times) - that I had to finally return the product and forfeit my additional $200.00 plus discount on the product. So far, the brand new product that I bough in exchange of the open box item above-stated works really great. I hope the problem I encountered with my open box item will not be in this product. So far, so great.

Works great with my tv. Excellent sound. Makes movies seem real. Only have a few problems when it loses sounds but a simple reset fixes that issue.

I have a Sony set-up where I was only missing the soundbar. I needed the 3.1 feature for dialogue. I was not looking to spend $900 for a 3.1 soundbar. I waited until I found an open box for $420. I immediately bought it si I saved more than half! It came with everything except the manual. I have this hooked up to a Sony 75" Z9D tv, and 800 M2 4K blue-ray. I play Dolby Atmos content on this soundbar and it manages and handles objects to be very wide quote good. When adding the rear speakers it really makes the whole set-up super nice and sweet. I have this hooked through Audioquest carbon cables, and the sound and picture are like no other. I love how it can pass through 4K HDR with no issues to the TV. I would recommend if this was not $900

Easy to setup and connect to my phone for bluetooth and to my Sony TV. Pretty much just plug and play. Audio quality is very good, can definitely notice effects I couldn't with my older Denon soundbar.

Pretty nice soundbar. Haven't really cranked it up but so far I'm satisfied with it. Need to order the rear speakers for the full effect.

Great sound making my TV viewing experience awesome. I can't imagine how went so long with out a product like this. There is one thing in my experience using this product that can be a minor inconvenience. At times and I'm not sure why this happening but the sound will stop at times. So I will have to shut the TV off and turn on again to get sound again. I've also manually turned the power off on the bar waiting to hear the sound in my TV and the press the power button again to turn it back on so I can hear sound from the bar. It was easy to set up with my Sony TV. Overall I'm very satisfied with the Sound Bar and Subwoofer. I'm rating 5 STARS based on my overall experience with this Sony product.

This sound bar has the potential to be exceptional! The sound is amazing from it, but it does not seem to increase the listening experience to pair it with the optional rear speaker set. The only complaint I have about this soundbar is that it would randomly shut off during a show or mute itself with no prompting to do so. With the product no longer being produced, there is no replacement options, only repair. Best Buy has done their best to remedy this issue for me.

I purchased this soundbar as a package with the Bravia OLED 77 A80J. I have been using it for a month and I must say so far I have not been disappointed. The sound is very good and there have been no issues with the wireless subwoofer cutting out (like some of the reviewers have mentioned). I like the fact that this soundbar allows me to totally control the volume of the subwoofer that way I can lower it during night viewing. So I am glad I upgraded from my previous system. I am pleased with the product and it looks great with my TV set. I plan to keep this on the media console top while mounting the TV on the wall. Great product.

This set up was exactly what we were looking for. Easy set up. Great sound quality for our space. Easy to use. I am looking forward to adding the rear surround speakers to complete the set up.

This is a great soundbar for a smaller room. Surprisingly, the subwoofer is actually powerful for the size. Some people might think this system is amazing and impressive, I would agree if I was upgrading from a cheap soundbar system or from just regular tv speakers. I do have a very expensive sound system for my media room and It makes this soundbar sound terrible. So if you plan on using this for a bedroom or a smaller room this is just fine.

Bought this because my existing sound bar wasn't compatible with my new Sony HD OLED Smart TV. Set-up was easy, probably because same brand, and had no issues syncing everything together. Major plus is that I can run my Directv HD receiver and bluray dvd player through the sound bar so only one cable runs to the TV. Now when I turn on the TV, the sound automatically comes through the sound bar regardless of the device I'm using. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was for the price you'd think surround sound (rear) speakers would be included.

Has a lot better sound than just the television and the wireless subwoofer was easy to set up once I put the HDMI cable on it

Sounds great but u definitely need volume up to enjoy features of Dolby atmos.. Adding the rear speakers isnt needed but definitely makes a difference

In the end, the product was great. 3/5 3/5 because the first time around, the product was a complete fail, manufacturer defect. I had purchased it specifically for the Dolby Atmos capabilities. I planned on pairing it with a Sony XBR75X900 After bringing it home and trying to set it up, I couldn't get it to work via the HDMI pass through. I tried to remedy this by purchasing a high quality HDMI cable, instead of the one that is packaged with the sound bar. After not being able to even bring the setup menu up on the screen with the new HDMI cord, I decided that it was time for a refund. In doing more research, I found that this was going to be the best "bang for my buck." I ended up getting a replacement sound bar. The second time around, the sound bar comes out of the box and the HDMI pass through works on the first try. The eARC is functional with the Atmos features. When it all works correctly, it sounds spectacular. I plan on pairing them with the rear speakers to complete the set. I love Sony products, unabashedly. We have multiple televisions and other Sony manufactured goods in our household, but this only gets an average rating for the very poor quality control that put me in a bad way. I'd give it a 3.5 if it was possible on this rating system, because the sound bar does sound really good, but the amount of frustration and questioning myself on if I was doing things correctly comes with a rounding down, instead of up.

Pros: 1. Support 4k passthrough 2. Simple design and light weight (removable grille on sound bar to expose the 3 speakers). 3. Easy set up process (has plenty of help online besides Sony e.g. avsforum) with less wiring, just a sound bar and subwoofer (wired and wifi connections) 4. Nice surround sound. 5. Got it as open box item for $600. Cons: 1. Scratch easily (glossy black plastic at front top of sound bar) and removable grille could bend and crack. 2. $300 extra for rear speakers to make it a 5.1 system. 3. Only two HDMI in 4. HDMI ARC issues (devices got confused)
