They could not pair the sub woofer to the sound bar. Finally, after a long time, he got it. Turned tv off after he left, and of course, no sub woofer. It shouldn’t be this hard.

I hate turning up the volume. Plus I don't think the installer told me to turn Sony remote on the TV sound off to enhance the Sony Sound Bar speakers.

Thank you for taking the time to review the HTZ9F. We regret to hear the sound issues that you are experiencing with the soundbar when connected to your Sony TV. As normal operation, the sound settings on the TV should be on Audio system in order to output the sound on the soundbar. We'd like to help troubleshoot and isolate the issue with the sharpness of the sound. Depending on the input signal and the sound mode setting, surround sound processing may not work effectively. The surround effect may be subtle, depending on the program or disc. HDMI ARC broke after a week
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This Sony sound bar and my new Sony 900 4K TV were supposed to be "made for each other" according to the Sales Rep. I installed according to instructions. After a week, the HDMI ARC would no longer let me control the volume with my TV remote. Multiple attempts to re-do set up unsuccessful. Nor would it return sound to the Sound Bar when watching an app like Netflix or Prime. I had to remove the ARC cable and by an optical cable. Lower quality sound (though still nice - but not "Axios" level) and separate remote for all volume control. The box was resealed with "Geek Squad" tape when I bought it. It was missing the mounting screws that were supposed to be included.
