Overpriced and underwhelming!

I have a 7.2 surround sound system with the receiver/connected speakers and that setup sounds much better than this sound bar. For the price I thought the sound from this product would blow me away but it doesn’t. It doesn’t sound much better than the regular tv speakers. The sound bar also feels cheap and poorly made. Even with the additional overpriced small rear speakers the sound is still weak and unimpressive. I don’t recommend this product at all!

May we know what is your source content? Sound quality also depends on the playing content and connection of your devices. For best sound quality, we recommend using an HDMI ARC connection or high quality cable to relay audio signals to the soundbar. Please make sure that the software is updated as it helps to improve the overall quality of the soundbar. The HTZ9F has pre-programmed sound effects that are tailored to different kinds of sound sources. You may try some steps on this link on how to adjust the sound quality on your soundbar and wireless speakers on pages 49-63

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited to get my sound bar but I was in the process of moving so I didn’t get to open it till two months later well I connected everything and I’m not happy with it the sound just ain’t the same as I herd it at the store and when I’m playing my doc from like Pandora from my tv you don’t hear the surround sound as it says you will in fact I can’t even tell when I’m watching a movie mind tou I also purchased the side speakers for $300 extra and I’m not amble to exchange it for anything else so I’m very disappointed with my purchase I don’t recommend

As far as your experience with the surround effect cannot be obtained, please try some of these solutions:
Depending on the input signal and the sound mode setting, surround sound processing may not work effectively. The surround effect may be subtle, depending on the program or disc.
To play multi-channel audio, check the digital audio output setting on the device connected to the system. For details, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the connected device.

I understand this issue happens with all newer Sony TV. The volume automatically drops and there are delays in the sound. Sony says the are working on an update firmware for the HTZ-9F but they have been telling me that for 6 months!!! Terrible customer service. Its like they don't care. This was a $900 soundbar that won't even work with its on brand TV. Note it will work with other brand TVs. Ridiculous !!! Very unhappy. Every few months that I call they say firmware is coming. Very frustrated!!!!
