Sounds great. Subwoofer and center speaker fill out the room nicely. Hard to get the balance correct with the TV speakers.

After demoing a few different sound bars in the store, we settled on this one to upgrade our TV speakers. The setup is easy - just plug in and go. Sound on this seems pretty good. The central channel makes dialogue easy to hear and the bass is pretty impressive. I hope to upgrade this with the wireless rear speakers at some point, but by itself the bar and subwoofer are a great upgrade over TV speakers. I’ve had a few minor issues where the video feed cuts out for a brief moment when streaming through the HDMI ports on the sound bar, but this has only happened twice and only for a few seconds each time. Overall, the sound quality is great, can get very loud with no distortion, and the setup is extremely easy.

I love the sound from this sound bar!!! It sounds so crisp and clean. It was a bit pricy, but with a package deal when I needed a TV and getting it around Black Friday I got 400$ off the price. It works so well with the Sony - 55" Class X900H Series LED 4K UHD Smart Android TV. If you get this make sure to get the tv with it!

The Sony HT-Z9F is an incredible soundbar. On it's own, the 3.1 surround sound is a master bedroom's dream for TV audio. Paired with the surround rear speakers, it's earth shattering. The only complaint I've had is that there's a latency that needs to be calibrated and fixed with the picture if you're using the HDMI 3 ARC channel to return an input from the TV to the soundbar. The soundbar itself has no latency issues with devices directly connected to the soundbar.

My wife and I went in looking for a soundbar and had a gentleman from Sony offer to help and he did and it was amazing to get the help we needed. He was polite and explained and showed what this soundbar could do and I was blown away. We have 5 speaker surround system and this soundbar makes it sound horrible. The controls are very easy and setup was a breeze. I'd like to give 5 stars but my opinion is just a few more connections would be fantastic but please don't think 4 stars is bad as this is an amazing system and we don't regret the purchase one bit.

This soundbar is very interesting. It's only got 3 speakers in the bar, yet it creates ATMOS sound. Sony engineers did some pretty cool here. Overall sound is very good, I think best in its class. Several different modes to adjust sound to your ears so it works for everyone, one setting that really helps is advanced auto volume, it really brings the sound to life. I can easily say movies are very immersive and games are more lifelike with this bar. Easily recommend it, especially if you are buying a new TV, when I got mine it was on a bundle with a Sony TV for $200 off! You can't beat that. Bestbuy and Sony really looking out for us. Finally, I worked with Steven Hardeman, he's the Soundbar Expert at my location, ask for him, you won't be displeased.

Well, you don't buy a soundbar with a capable TV. This soundbar works perfectly with my recent Sony X900H. The Sony HTZ9F is a nice compliment to my TV. It is easy to set up. I connected my DirectTV HDMI directly into the ARC component and used my the soundbars HDMI2 for my TV ARC connection. While this is my best option, this might not be for all. I placed my subwoofer to the side instead of the front, due to spacing limitations, and it sound really good. The sound will be much enhanced if you look into the wireless rear speakers, of which, I bought a week after purchasing this soundbar. For my budget, I think I hit the jackpot.

First soundbar. Bought it on Black Friday sale plus another discount for TV bundle. Hooked up to Sony 900. So much better than TV speakers. Easy to setup although instructions could be slightly clearer. I have it hooked up to a ATT Uverse box. The reason for a 4 star is that it sometimes drops the sound when I turn the system on. I then have to disconnect/reconnect the HDMI cable from my Uverse box to get sound back. Not sure what is causing the problem.

I would recommend this anyone who want's a surround sound experience without breaking the bank. Highly recommend getting the rear speakers with these. This will give you a great movie, gaming and music experience.

The sound quality is outstanding! For sure worth it getting the upgrade that has the sub woofer. I the TV I got had great sound, but the difference is day and night!

Great high's and low's sound quality. Easy to setup. Works great in combination with a Sony TV and remote.

Sound is pretty good from this bar and woofer. It has some issues not correlating with TV volume at times, so you must use remote.

Purchased the Sony 3.1 Hi-Res Sound Bar with the wireless sub woofer to replace my old surround sound system. Blows it right out of the water. Completely wireless, very easy to set up.

The speakers look nice, were easy to setup and instantly connected to Sony tv. The sound is very good, clear and met my expectations.

Easy wall mount, easy set up, and it sounds great. I no longer hear my wife complain! As in turn it down! I have a hearing loss and it is clear and sharp so I no longer need the TV volume turned way up.
