Decent Soundbar
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does not provide enough bass in the speaker. But subwoofer is solid.

Posted .Hi Chunker, we're glad to hear you're satisfied with the build and quality of our Z9F Dolby Atmos soundbar. We're sorry if the bass did not meet your expectations. If the input sources contain very little bass sound components (i.e., a TV broadcast), bass sound may be difficult to hear. Please note, that aside from the remote’s 12 step subwoofer adjustment, you can increase the level of your soundbar and subwoofer’s output an additional 6dB if you access the speaker settings in the Graphical User Interface (GUI). Please see page 59 of the instruction manual. We will have your feedback noted for the improvements to our product. Thank you so much for choosing Sony! - Romeo

Sound Cuts Out ALOT! Expected more from SONY
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only had the SONY soundbar & SONY satellite rear speakers for 3 weeks and had Geek Squad come out once to set up with SONY TV. Still have problem with sound constantly cutting out & it does not come back. We have to turn the TV & Soundbar off and MAYBE the sound will comeback, but it still cuts out. Some days it works for a few hours before cutting out, others it cuts out within 5-10 minutes of powering up and. So bad, we're using the built in TV speakers. Also, we have Sennheiser wireless headphones, tech unable to hook up so one person can listen through headphones while other listens through home theater or built in TV speakers simultaneously. LOTS OF PROBLEMS.

Sound cuts out consistently
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've done a ton of researching on this soundbar (after we bought it), and learned that the issue of the sound cutting in and out is common. The sound quality is fine, but the initial setup wasn't very intuitive. Some nights the sub will cut in and out constantly and needs to be unplugged and restarted. We also bought the rear speakers (which are great), but I can't even sell this with a good conscience sadly. Just out of luck. We went to the store and stood in front of the demo system and found that it behaved exactly the same way.

Posted .Hi Nick, we are sorry for the inconvenience the issue had caused you. Let's troubleshoot the issue by following the steps below.
https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/home-theater-sound-bars-home-theater-systems/ht-z9f/articles/00200429
Please note, that when you set the RF channel from Off and back to On, if the RF channel swap finishes in less than 10 seconds, do the procedure again. It should take about a full minute for the process to complete.
You can also Secure Link the subwoofer and SA-Z9R speakers to the soundbar to improve the connection.

Bad speakers for sound bar
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.you didn't have the product in stock so it had to be ordered, when I received the product it didn't work. Since I live 1 and 1/2 hours from the nearest store, I waited until I needed to go to do my shopping to take the product back to the store. Well it was past the 15 days cut off !!!! So I came back home and called Sony, their system is not at all user friendly and was finally able to talk with a technician. He sent me an e-mail to show proof of purchase but that's also not a user friendly program, it took an hour to send the info and I still don't know if its right. It's going to be a challenge to ship the product back as we live in a rural area and do not have fed-x or any other carrier offices near by, the closest is 30 miles.

WiFi Keeps Disconnecting
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Speakers sound good when the system works. However the issue is the subwoofer consistently goes in and out due to WiFi constantly dropping. I also bought the rear sony z9r wireless speakers and they drop WiFi I've set the speakers right beside the soundbar with absolutely no obstruction to weaken the WiFi signal and subwoofer and rear speakers CONSTANTLY DROP SIGNAL. I would return, but like an idiot I threw away the box the day after I setup my new Sony TV and Surround Sound. Big mistake. STAY AWAY for Sony wireless soundbar and speakers. I know it is not a network issue as I paid my internet company to come out to the house and check my internet.

Not sure
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this with a Sony Bravia 4K tv and this sound system is not what the sales guy sold me on. The one issue I have and it is huge is the lip sync. It continuously gets out of sync even after the system update. If I could I would return this. I don’t get how it doesn’t ever work matched up with a high end Sony TV.

Posted .Hi PopPop,
We're so sorry to hear our HTZ9F did not meet your expectations. Some of this issue happened if the soundbar is not setup correctly. The HT-Z9F features customizable speaker settings where you can set the speaker distance from 0 ft to 33 ft for much richer sound quality. You can raise the level of the soundbar and subwoofer an additional 6 dB in the user interface menu. This will allow you to fully experience the rumbling lows during explosions of a movie, and the clarity of the string instruments during an orchestral performance. To round out your listening experience, we recommend adding the SAZ9R wireless rear speakers.
For reference on how to adjust the levels of the soundbar and listening distance, please use the following link :

Don’t waste your $
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe waste of money. This is paired up with a 65” Sony X900H, eARC does NOT work; it will randomly stop all audio and force to switch output drive on TV or perform a restart. The wireless sub uses 5ghz channel and cuts out constantly, ESPECIALLY when you’re using a phone/tablet or computer in the same room. There doesn’t appear to be any way to change channels, as I can see it with a WiFi analyzer. Should of at least shipped with subwoofer cable to plug-in directly/hardwire. They hasn’t been any updates from Sony, very sad for a product this expensive. Should have bought SONOS or Bose. In additional the system never actually shuts off, it goes into standby. Do better Sony.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although this produces great sound the remote has way too many settings, sometimes the voices are drowned out in the sfx and music of a show or movie...sometimes you have to find the perfect setting for every show or movie till you can enjoy it...too much work.
