The audio/dialogue is very clear, and the bass is not overpowering. I originally tried the JBL Bar 9.1 but it didn't have the highs and clarity I need. I also bought the surround speakers and they definitely provide a spacious sound during movies. The dolby atmos may not be quite as good as sound bars that actually have up-firing speakers. But I have a media room with 4 atmos ceiling speakers and I don't need them in my living room.

Unfortunately to get the full experience you need the rest speakers (sold separately). Great sound for movies and good controls. Only downside is there is no way to raise levels of the center channels to make voice easier to hear when it gets soft. There is a voice button but it only has 2 options for that feature.

To increase the center channel level, you can access the Graphical User Interface (GUI) by pressing HOME on the remote. Go into the Settings and under Speaker Settings, you can adjust the gain of the center channel up to 6 dB.

Don't bother

The Atmos leaves something to be desired but the sound is in general is just fantastic. Powerful sub, voices are clear and, setup was extremely simple. However, for whatever reason when I cast media to my A9G everything will be fine and then the sound just disappears. Reboots of the TV and soundbar don't fix the issue. Fiddling with the eARC, PCM, everything just don't fix the problem. I thought perhaps it was the app (Disney+) because when I played a different movie sound was heard. When I switched apps and even going to the cable box there was sound output. We watched WW84 and every 20 mins or so the sound would cut out for about 2-3 seconds. This soundbar costs too much dang money to be having these problems. I will be returning this unit very soon.

Imho, the sound is really good for small to medium size rooms. To appreciate the Dolby Atmos technology , the matching rear speakers is a must. The only con I have is the Vertical surround which I can't really tell or hear that it's there. If there were two speakers on top, I can probably (& obviously) hear the Vertical surround experience.

It’s easy to setup and use. The only thing I don’t like is the hdmi ports, there are only two and they are hard to plug some items into. For instance you can’t plug a Roku or amazon fire stick into them but as long as you have arc on you’re tv it’s not a big deal. A little on the pricey side for what you get at full price, but bought it at same time as a tv and got an additional $200 off plus it was on sale. The wireless subwoofer is nice, I was able to put it behind the couch so no one see it.

The audio fills the room and the way the audio shoots through the room makes it sound like you’re actually in the scenes of your favorite TV shows and movies. The bass from the subwoofer... best thing ever. Setup with my TV was easy. Although, it does have issues when other Bluetooth devices are paired with my TV - it will disconnect and won’t re-connect until the other device is turned off and unpaired.

Incredible sound!

I can hear the low voices and then the music just blows you away. It's easy to connect to my phone to play my music. I liked it so much I went back and bought the surround speakers as well. It's a little pricey for sure, but this soundbar is for the family room tv that has cathedral ceilings. A simple soundbar in that room just doesn't do what this one can. I have tried a different one and the sony is the best.
