[ $300.00 is why I did not get them] very expensive set but for the hole set up it was almost 1250.00 it should sound that good

The sound that comes out of it is amazing. When watching a TV show and the background music is so loud that you can't hear what the people are saying, we turn on the sound bar and problem solved. It's perfect, and really great sound when watching movies. Don't know how we lived without it.

Set up was simple with easy to follow directions. Sound is amazing especially when listening in Dolby Atmos. I have not had any issues with the wireless subwoofer like I've read in other reviews. I'm really happy I switched to this soundbar.

Not worth the price

I ended up going with the JBL soundbar purchased it thou JBl.com it was cheaper. I added the rear speakers to this unit Another $300 did not notice a difference. I just returned those. Sony makes good Tv’s just my opinion. Talk to one of the Best Buy audio guys told me that JBl is known for the crisp sound and bose, Sonos, and Sony you are just paying for the name and it being all wireless. I think this particular sound bar is only worth $500. I’m using a 55” Sony Tv and I don’t need to match it with a Sony. It has some good features. Overall if you are looking for a soundbar read up on the specs and reviews of each unit. Thanks

Surround sound from one place!

Sound is excellent and much better than just sound from TV alone. Different sound options available. Easy connection and set up. My TV is on an entertainment center/cabinet and sound bar and amp is on there too. Would not work well if wall mounted unless there was a place to put it.

The sound is nice and the installed device is a little bulky, sits a little high. TV’s today sit pretty flat and the height of the bar maybe an issue. Also, a few issues with the pass thru HDMI. A LOT of times the HDMI signal reads not a proper HDMI device.

It sounds fine but the surround sound setting (Vertical S button on remote) doesn’t make much difference so far. I will try it with some other sources to see if it’s the source. I think you can get the same sound from a bar 1/2 this price. It does sync perfectly with my new Sony tv and does not cutout or the voice get out of sync. Plenty loud. Just doesn’t have that crisp snappy sound I would expect I guess. Seems like you are paying a big premium for the Sony name. So it better last.

We'd like to help make this a better experience. The surround effect from all directions differs depending on the sound source. A time gap between the sound and picture may occur depending on the sound source. If your TV has a function that delays the image, use it for adjustment. With TVs mounted on the wall, the internal rear facing speakers can sound muddled. Bringing the speakers out front yields a much improved sound stage - dialogue now does not need subtitles as it often did with some northern UK accents.

Adding the optional rear speakers and adjusting the sound level to max gives a better surround sound. Easy set up and prefer this method rather than a multimedia amplifier route. Having a wireless system is ideal and avoids trying to figure ways to hide the wires or routing to speakers.

But there is delay with Bluetooth. Plan on wiring the sound bar to the tv. Then Shoneys proprietary integration technology has no delay between the tone components. For example, sound bar to subwoofer, or sound bar to rear channel speakers.
