Great sound, but bad lip sync...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a great soundbar, when paired with the SA-Z9R's (a MUST in my opinion). Very wide sound stage (left-to-right), but it did lack a bit as far as vertical sound is concerned. That said, for a soundbar, it performed very well. Unfortunately, I ended up returning this because I experienced lip sync issues that could not be corrected, regardless of connection (HDMI vs Optical) and Audio Sync adjustment.

Sound Bar does not always power up correctly

My issue is that it does not always recognize the DirecTV input for sound. The picture comes through without fail, but sound will not come through. I have not been able to nail down why this happens, but its annoying.

Awesome Soundbar! Better than Sonos Arc IMO!

Dual HDMI. Check. Hi Res Audio file playback via USB. Check. Amazing Sound Quality check. Cheaper than Sonos ARC too. Highly recommend this is purchased with the surround speakers. By comparison, Sonos ARC only has 1 HDMI input and cannot playback Hi Res Audio (DSD, DSF) files via USB which this unit can. Also the Sonos lacks DTS-X support. Highly recommend the Sony HT-Z9F without reservation.

Only complaint sI have is that setup was a little confusing at first, but I figured it out. Also, sometimes it feels like there's a slight input lag between tv and sound. Might just be my cable I'm using, however
