    I think this sound bar is excellent. But I will admit that I have it paired with the 2 rear speakers that cost extra. So with that extra $300 tacked on, you may be able to find better sound systems....

    This sis the perfect soundbar to enjoy in an apartment. It provides with immense cinematic sound experience. The virtual dolby system works fine but not as good as having actual dolby speakers. Overall good investment.

    This system was very easily installed , and even easier to use just turn the TV on or off and it does the same had a nose system for 5 year's and still can't get it right

    Turned volume all the way up and was like... is that all it has? Much better than what I had I just was expecting much more for the money spent.

    Beautiful and realistic sound. This speaker works so good, on multiple occasions I have thought a background sound was coming from outside my house...like a dog barking or someone whistling. Definitely recommended.

    Constant disconnect when streaming

    It sounds great when it works!! We can watch movies and cable with no issues but the moment we stream through vudu hulu or netflix the soundbar will continue to loss connection and we have to reset the soundbar everytime or we have to turn everything off to restart it which becomes annoying. Definitely looking for a better soundbar would no recommend if you plan on streaming

    This sounded great in the store but at home it wasn’t worth the $900 I paid. Either do home theater or a more modestly priced soundbar.

    Hardwire into router and turn off eARC on soundbar settings until sony issues software update. It'll fix all of your cutting out issues. Thank me later

      1. First, verify the HDMI cables you are using are rated for high speed and are at least 18 Gbps cables. Try replacing them if you have not. Next, ensure CEC control is enabled on the soundbar and your TV.       2. You can also try this procedure in case the drop off is being caused by wireless interference within your home:

    Wanted Bluetooth to work with my iPad. Geek squad came and was unable to get it to work. Was very disappointed.

      Hi Suebear, We regret to hear that you're having Bluetooth pairing issues when pairing with your iPad. This is not the experience we want you to have. You may try the steps below to fix the issue:

      - Make sure that the BLUETOOTH indicator of the main unit is lit.
      - Bring this system and the BLUETOOTH device closer together.
      - Pair this system and the BLUETOOTH device again. You may need to cancel the pairing with this system using your BLUETOOTH device first.
      - Pairing information may be deleted. Perform pairing operation again
      - Make sure this system is not receiving interference from a wireless LAN device, other 2.4 GHz wireless devices, or a microwave oven. If a device that generates electromagnetic radiation is nearby, move the device away from this system.

    Pretty Good!

    We think the sound is pretty good. We are disappointed with the sound of some of the nature programs and sports events where there is someone narrating the event. We have tried several different settings but still find it hard to hear the voice of the narrator/announcer above the background noise.

    Purchased this several months ago and have been having trouble ever since. Sound cuts in and out, sub cuts in and out, have to use two remotes because Sony remote will not work with Comcast remote. I had several other manufacturers sound bars over the past 10-12 years and never had to use two remotes. Asked Sony about it and was told they don’t support third party devices. Lame excuse. Wanted to purchase the Bose but thought I’d give Sony another try. So sorry I did. Software is up to date and tried every setting possible and still have the same issues. Very surprised Sony can’t correct these issues, especially for what this cost. Save your money and buy another brand. It will be much less headache and stress.

    Purchased this sound bar with my Sony TV. Sub woofer is wireless and the whole package is really easy to install, vertical sound gives an amazing sound experience for video games, and movies.

      For HDMI connection issue, there are some things we’d like for you to try and see if we can resolve this problem.

      First, verify the HDMI cables you are using are rated for high speed and are at least 18 Gbps cables. Try replacing them if you have not. Next, ensure CEC control is enabled on the soundbar and your TV. You’ll need to refer to the manual of your TV, and for the soundbar, it’s on page 64. We’re not sure which brand of TV you have your soundbar connected, however, please ensure both are on the latest firmware.

    Sound Bar Setup

    We bought this soundbar and for some reason it shuts off. Seems to be linked to Hulu. It only shuts off after about 5 minutes when we are watching something on Hulu.

    Never thought a soundbar can sound so good. I am so impressed with the clarity of the sound and how much more you get out of your movie experience. Also lets not forget the bass, amazing and just love how it just blends in without over powering.
