Same with the matched surround speakers. Followed all Sony troubleshooting, but doesn’t help. Have read up online and many people have this same issue.

We're sorry to hear you're having connection problem between your soundbar and wireless subwoofer & rear speakers. Despite the issue, we appreciate you like the sound quality of our HTZ9F. There are some things we’d like for you to try and see if we can resolve your audio cut off.
First, verify the HDMI cables you are using are rated for high speed and are at least 18 Gbps cables. Try replacing them if you have not. Next, ensure CEC control is enabled on the soundbar and your TV. You’ll need to refer to the manual of your TV, and for the soundbar, it’s on page 64. We’re not sure which brand of TV you have your soundbar connected, however, please ensure both are on the latest firmware. Please ensure that any WiFi router or modem is placed away from your audio as they may cause interference with operation of your soundbar and speakers.
You can also try this procedure in case the drop off is being caused by wireless interference within your home : https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/home-theater-sound-bars-home-theater-systems/ht-z9f/articles/00200429.
When doing this RF Channel procedure, please ensure the connection process take 1 minute to connect. If the connection process takes less than 15 seconds, repeat the operation a second time. Once that is done, you may also perform the Secure Link operation which is shown on page 33.

It connects directly with the tv remote so you only have to use one remote except if you want to increase or decrease the bass.

Loved the sound in store and couldn't wait to get it set up. Paid for the Delivery and install. After the set up by a 3rd party contractor sent to me from best buy because the geek squad had no available apts , the soundbar would cut out. Bluetooth connection was great playing music from phone, no cutting out. Only when the external speakers were connected to the TV. I know that if they could have figured out the issue we would have been very happy having the soundbar with the amazing tv. Unfortunately Best Buys customer service dept disappointed me. After more than 2 weeks if back and forth with managers of the store trying to get someone out to resolve the matter, I finally returned the soundbar. I know my review score would be higher if the product worked in my home the way it did in the store the day I purchased it.
