About 2 months into owning the device some of the speakers on the sound bar cut in and out. I have never even gotten close to max volume to blow them out. Also Chromecast Ultra recently stopped supporting HDR when plugged into this device. In order to fix the issue with the sound cutting in and out I have to restart the device by unplugging and plugging it back in. This makes me think it is a software glitch. I also wish the UI was better.

Thank you for reaching out about the sound issues that you are experiencing with the HTZ9F soundbar. We'd like to help and troubleshoot the issue. Check the following if the sound cuts out or noise is heard from the subwoofer or rear speaker of your HT-Z9F:
Don't block the soundbar and the connected device.
Place your soundbar near the connected device.
Try a wired connection instead of wireless connection.
If using wireless connection, make sure there are no other devices near the soundbar.
Devices such as microwave oven and routers produce electromagnetic waves may that interfere with your soundbar.
Turn on the RF Channel.
On the supplied soundbar remote control, press the HOME button.
Select Setup.
Select Advanced Settings.
Select Speaker Settings.
Select Wireless Speaker Settings.
Select RF Channel.
Select On.
The system supports object-based audio formats such as HDR video formats such as HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision. If the HDR contents cannot show as high dynamic range. Please check the following below:
Check the settings of the TV and connected device. For details, refer tthe operating instructions of your TV and the connected device.
Some devices may convert HDR contents to SDR if the bandwidth is not enough. In that case, set [Setup] - [Advanced Settings] - [HDMI Settings] - [HDMI Signal Format] - [HDMI IN 1]/[HDMI IN 2] to [Enhanced format] if the TV and the connected device support a
bandwidth of up to 18Gbps. When you select [Enhanced format], be sure to use a Premium High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet that supports 18Gbps.

Avoid at all cost

I am watching a movie and then all of a sudden the sound stops. I notice the soundbar and subwoofer are still on. I see peoples mouths moving, but no sound. I turn it off and back on and viola! I get sound again. Rinse and repeat this same crap all the time. I could not find a solution anywhere. To top it off, I bought it in conjunction with the Sony 85" 900H which kept having wifi connectivity issues. I am very sad. I bought a PS5 and figured the TV and sound would be great. I got no help from anyone on either product. headed to the store to exchange for Samsung. Too much money to invest just to reboot every time these issues occur.
