Already have The HTA 7000 in the living room, I bought this along with the smaller subwoofer and rear wireless speakers for the master bedroom and it fit the bill perfectly. Works great especially if you have a newer Sony television as you can use the TVs internal audio as a center channel. A little pricey for what you get but well worth it if you are already in the Sony ecosystem

We bought this to replace a prior Sony sound bar. We had MANY issues connecting the original model to our Sony Tv. This one works much better. Sound is decent even without the seperate subwoofer. Just happy it works. Subsequently mounted on the tv wall bracket for clean look

This is in my opinion the best soundbar choice in terms of affordability, sound quality, bass and immersiveness. I have it set up in front of the TV and it gives great sound coverage without the need for a rear speaker kit and the bass is deep enough to fill the room. If i had the TV in a larger/taller room and I was sitting farther from the TV i might recommend a subwoofer but it isn’t imperative. There are cheaper options out there but this is a great entry level option that covers all the basics if you don’t mind a more premium price.

This is one big bold bodacious soundbar! It delivers great sound clarity at whatever volume it's set at. From a technical standpoint, it's excellent... but with regard to its compatibility with the Sony Bravia TV, from a design standpoint, it is only compatible when the Bravia TV is wall mounted above the HTA3000. When the soundbar & TV are placed on a flat surface with the soundbar in front of Bravia TV, the remote control fails to turn the Bravia TV on or off. How can that be? Here's how. The brackets that serve as the Bravia TV's base raise the TV up by 1-1/4," So far so good. But the low laying soundbar does not lay low enough. The soundbar is 2-1/2" in height. When it's placed on a flat surface in front of the Bravia TV, it is 1-1/4" higher than the bottom of the Bravia TV, just enough height to block the signal from the remote control from making contact with the remote receiver situated at the bottom of the Bravia TV. If you switch it around, and place the soundbar behind the Bravia TV, the remote control will indeed turn the TV on & off. But with the Bravia TV lifted up just 1-1/4" by its brackets, and the soundbar height being 2-1/2", exactly one half of the soundbar is behind the the Bravia TV, which needless to say, impacts the sound quality. This design flaw is easily rectified by using brackets that lift the Bravia TV up 2-1/2" from the flat surface that both components are place upon. But here's the catch. SONY DOES NOT PRODUCE SUCH BRACKETS. The devil is in the details!

Perfect for a studio/small apartment. This sound bar is exactly what I needed. Its design is perfect because combines all speakers (including built in subwoofer) into one piece. There’s no separate receiver or devices. The soundbar has it all you need. Just plug and play ! Tip: highly recommended to purchase the rear speakers and take advantage of the Dolby atmos and 5.1 features with your smart TV. I wish it had more options with sound modes but I guess those options are in the more expensive Sony sound bars.

Best Soundbar for 10x 30 ft living room. Must buy. Clean sound, very clear dialog, and solid Dolby Atmos effect for a compact bar. Easy setup and works smoothly with wireless rears. When paired with SA-RS5, the surround feels much more immersive and balanced. Bass is decent, but adding a sub makes it complete. Overall, a reliable and premium soundbar for daily TV and movies.

Sound and set-up are superb. More depth of sound than my old M-series VISIO. Tried to send me a refrubished/returned soundbar but took back for another, no problem, but it never should have happened.

I originally purchased the Yamaha 109 soundbar for my Sony Bravia TV. The sound is decent, but I had regular connectivity issues that were a nuisance. I returned the Yamaha and got the Sony HTA 3000 and I’m very glad I did. While the Sony is more than 2x the cost relative to the Yamaha, the sound is 5x better and the connectivity and integration with the Sony TV is perfect, and the set up is so easy. The bass at max level really thumps without compromising dialogue clarity. Music sounds incredible on this. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

We really like this sound bar because it is all one piece, with no separate bass unit. Still, the bass is nice, not boomy, which we didn't want, but nice. The stereo effect is surprising too: sometimes there are noises that seem to come from somewhere else altogether, like outside, but it's just the sound bar. Has enhanced our viewing pleasure greatly!

This is a very nice soundbar for watching TV in a smaller space, absolutely excellent for dialog. I bought a new TV and bought this to replace an older SONY soundbar that was more versatile but not as good for dialog. Actual surround sound or a separate subwoofer are not practical in my space and this item is perfect in my application. So easy to link with a SONY TV and Alexa. Seems expensive for what you get though, almost as much as the TV.

Sounds really good for only being a soundbar. I am using it in the gaming/movie room with my sony a80j oled. Sounds good in the room and still not overpowering in the rest of the house, for loved ones. I feel the bass is goood enough, so i will not add the subwoofer. I am thinking about adding the surround speakers.

Great soundbar for the price solid build and you can add what you want or don`t want.sound is outstanding and setup is simple the bar detects everything and runs you through the setup and bang your done.you can use optimize and it sets it up for your room we have it paired with just the subwoofer and inked to our A80J OLED and it sounds great voices come through clean and we don`t even need the remote all the settings show up on our screen ...so easy.the smaller brother to sony`s larger units but just as nice very happy with this soundbar good job Sony....

Got this at a great price as an open box item. Was easy to setup and great sound for my patio tv.

Rich full sound and great volume. It will sound better with a subwoofer. I will add that I haven't liked Sony products for over 25 years. I listened to my salesman, took his recommendation and was pleasantly surprised!

This soundbar really complements my Sony Bravia TV. The sound quality is so good i dont think I need any addtiobal speakers. I have Sonos in another floor of my house and I dont notice a difference except price.

This is the second purchase of this Soundbar, so yes, I would buy it again. I purchased this as an open box without a center speaker cable and remote (and yes, this is the second time I have done this). The remote was easy to replace on Amazon, but the cable took a little more effort. It turns out the Best Buy essentials™ —6' 3.5 mm Audio Cable—Black works perfectly. Sound is a significant improvement over the internal TV. When I was working on our condo in SC, I would use the Spotify or YouTube app to play music. Made the work day go faster. The system integrates seamlessly with a Sony TV. It fits snugly under the new TVs when on a TV stand or can be wall-mounted under a wall-mounted TV. Plug in the HDMI cable and the audio cable to the TV and Soundbar, and there is little else you need to do. While most users will enjoy the out-of-the-box experience, the true audiophile or those wanting a slightly richer sound will probably want to add the optional rear speakers and subwoofer. For me, it's an unnecessary expense for my short-term rental in SC, but I might consider it sometime in the future for the family home.

The 3d audio, depth of bass, and crispness that this soundbar has is continuing to impress me during movies and while I game. We'll eventually add subwoofers, but this unit is great as a stand-alone audio setup, and is more than loud enough gor our use. Only gripe may be some of the UI is a little co fusing at first, and the remote can feel redundant if paired with a Sony TV

Fantastic soundbar with incredible clarity/bass, I would highly recommend it to those who are wanting to invest in a quality easy to use sound system without the hassle of a full home system. Or if you want to go the extra mile, it allows for a smooth/easy implementation of all other sub woofers and wireless surround sound speakers. thank you

For such a small and slim soundbar, it delivers good bass response despite not having a separate subwoofer, and very clear dialogue.
