This soundbar surprised me for the hundred bucks I paid. Setup took just a minute, and everything worked right away. The sound is clear and gets plenty loud for a mid-size room. Bass is on the lighter side, but that actually works well in an apartment where you don’t want to shake the walls. My only gripe is the packaging—it felt heavier than it needed to be for such a compact product. Still, for the price, it’s absolutely worth it.

I use this mainly as a sound bar for my LG TV, using fiber optic. I use it some as a bluetooth speaker. This is an OK speaker for the price point. It doesn't have amazing bass like a set with a separate sub would, or a much more expensive sound bar stand-alone... but I wanted to save space (I am not crazy about a separate ugly sub taking up room) and I wanted to save money, so I did not upgrade to something that would have more bass built into the sound bar. It was hard talking myself out of spending more money to have more amazing full bass sound, but I am still happy that I stuck with my plan, saved the money, and kept this sound bar. I think I would have upgraded if this was my only system though, but it is not. It is far better than the TV speakers, and it sounds just fine. It has a lot of power, and I like the slim design (the LG one I tried blocked the remote signal, this one works great in front of the TV on stands). The built-in bass is just OK, and the remote has multiple sound presets that are nice. I would have liked to compare it to the Yamaha at the same price point, but they did not have one in store to try out. Even this one was not hooked up to anything to try out in store.

clean loud audio, easy to set up, and perfect size

This soundbar is good for the price and is definitely an upgrade over TV speakers any day of the week, but I wouldn’t recommend it for big living rooms or entertainment centers. The design and set up of the soundbar are big pluses, but the audio leaves a bit to be desired. There isn’t a ton of bass, so for people that want to be particular about sound quality, I would go with a better quality Sony one. Again, for the price, I’m happy with the soundbar, but I feel like it could be just a little bit better.

Great purchase! This product really exceeded my expectations. Really has a nice sound with even without the subwoofer! I was lucky to find an open box deal on Best Buy so got it for a fraction of the original price. You can’t beat that! One thing that would make this product even better would be an analog display to see what features are being used instead of just guessing since the remote has plenty of features. But over all I am really happy with my purchase. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great soundbar at a great cost.

It's very easy to set up and sounds great - it's not an expensive sound bar, so it doesn't compare to ones that are 4 or 5 times the cost, but it makes hearing spoken voices much easier for the older family members to hear

Easy to setup and connect to TV or your mobile device. Sound is average at best. Hardly any base but built quality seems good.

This product is very excellent for exactly what it is, it has different modes for audio and is very helpful for when you are watching a movie, a show or listening to music its very easy to connect if you have a newer gen tv. It is really loud for what it is. The only downside is the bass it has none at all but for the price and the size you will get loud and clear audio from this device i bought one for a test trial and now i am planning to put more in all of my rooms. It has helped my issue before in regard of when i would watch some shows on media app i would have to put my tv volume on full blast because you can’t hear people talk and when background intense music comes on you have to lower it and then bring it up when it comes back to talking. There is a specific mode for voice but i love the cinema mode.

The Sony sound bar that I purchased has great sound and was very easy to set up

Good sound, easy to use works perfect with our Samsung TV. I used the HDMI ARC to connect to our TV. I am so glad we got this soundbar.

The Sony HTS100F 2.0 Channel Sound Bar I give 4 out of 5, here is why. The sound is clear, but it lacks the tremble and bass I was looking for in a soundbar. I was looking to bring the movie theatre sound to my home and Sony soundbar could not deliver what I expected. However, it does provide a nice loud sound quality and I love the blue tooth experience when I want to listen to music.

This Sony soundbar delivers rich, detailed audio that instantly upgrades TV sound with clear dialogue and surprisingly full sound. Setup was effortless with Bluetooth and HDMI ARC connectivity (just make sure you have an HDMI ARC port; it comes with an optical cable if no ARC port, which is an extra step), The low profile design fits under my TV. It’s an excellent value for the price.

This was a great deal. The speaker was easy to set up and sounds amazing.

I recently bought this soundbar and it’s fantastic. There’s a few small “negatives” but not deal breakers. The power cable plugs into the soundbar all the way to the right side (if you’re looking at the front of it), so I had to use an extension cord as my outlet is 3 feet to the left of my entertainment stand. It’s also wider than the legs of my TV, and a little taller which blocks the sensor for my remote control slightly (if I lift my hand up I can still use the remote fine… I have a 50”). This could be solved by mounting the soundbar above my TV or getting a riser to lift my tv, which I would actually like to do. BUT, here’s the positives: As soon as I plugged it in and hooked into the HDMI Arc port of my 5 year old TV, I turned the TV on and the soundbar turned on with it. The TV automatically recognized it and set it as the default speaker. I put on a movie I know well and the sound was PERFECT. Great balance of music and sound effects and dialog was crisp and clear. The experience was such an improvement it was exciting to rewatch a movie I’ve seen over and over. I also played a bunch of music through it to test it as well, and it was fantastic and well balanced. It has decent, acceptable bass. But it’s not booming bass, don’t expect the same level of bass you’d get from a woofer. I think if you listen to rock or singer songwriter type music, it’s great. Hip Hop or electronic probably will be a little weak sounding. I was worried it wasn’t going to be loud enough. It states 120w (in this price range most soundbars are 40-60w)… but when watching movies on streaming (even when using my TV speakers) I need to turn the volume way up. I had the soundbar up to 80% to compete with an air conditioner, when watching a movie. However when I listened to music or watched YouTube, I lowered this to more like 40%. So, I’d say it’s actually plenty loud. I live in an apartment and my living room is average to small (maybe 10’x10’ at biggest). I didn’t want a subwoofer. And I’m very happy with this purchase. I can’t imagine going back to watching TV without this soundbar.

Set up was so quick and easy and the sound is great as was expected.

Got a great deal on this and it's a great little sound bar! Sound is much better than my tv and it works better with an hdmi cord that you need to buy seperately but does come with an optical cord. Set up is easy. Bass is good enough for having no floor sub.

I’ve been so happy with this soundbar. I went through a bit of a nightmare with my last one from some random company on Amazon and it just gave me nothing but headaches. Better to pay a little more for sound mind. The day I got this, all I had to do was connect an HDMI cable and it immediately worked. Such a seemingly small thing that was a sigh of relief. I did have to play around with the audio settings to get things to work properly with my Apple TV, but it’s great. I just need to turn the television on first with its remote, then the Apple TV afterward. No big deal at all. I’m so happy with this purchase and what a bargain it is that I just ordered a second one for the bedroom.
