Compared to the iPhone alarm this radio is about half the volume at max , that being said it may not be suited for heavy sleepers. I use it as a clock , still good if you are wanting to ease dependance from the phone .

bad tuning

Best Buy radio is cheaper and better tuning though it broke (no volume) after a year.

Should Be Alarmed?

The display of numerals is small and dimly lit making it hard to focus on at night. Another concern was the clock seemed to be overly warm for such a small draw of electricity.

Does not have digital tuning, and the manual tuning indicator is so small you cannot read it without a magnifying glass. Audio quality is poor. Sony should be ashamed of themselves.

Missing battery
