Missing battery

It's alarm function is inaudible over the noise of a 9-in box fan on medium speed. It is so quiet that it's hard to believe

This should have been checked since my order included batteries. The radio does not work properly because of too much static. The manufacturer did not install the off function. This requires unplugging the radio or turning the volume down. This item is over priced at $25.
