Please make sure your in-ear headphones are updated by performing a software update: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/wireless-headphones-bluetooth-headphones/linkbuds-s/software/00278796. The updates improve the general performance of the unit and resolve any possible software-related issues. We can also reset and initialize the headphones to further isolate the issue:

Thanks for sharing your review and experience with the LinkBuds S. We're glad that you like the noise canceling function of the headphones. Your feedback about the battery life and using one earbud is greatly appreciated. You can use either the left or right earbud at a time. Depending on the headset unit you are wearing, some functions may not be available in the factory settings. In this case, you can change the function assignments to the touch sensors using the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. You may find this link helpful:
