Always OEM Batteries

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I could have purchased the Sony NP-FZ100 battery at other reputable stores, but I added this to another item I was already buying. I always prefer to use OEM batteries, considering that the battery is powering my $2,000+ cameras. I’ve used third-party batteries in the past, but that was with less expensive cameras, and I have found that the third-party batteries don’t have the same life as OEM. They may have similar capacity when new, but their capacity can quickly reduce after only a few months or a year. Owning multiple batteries for my Sony a7R III and a7 III (currently three extra batteries aside from the batteries already in each camera) allows me to switch to a fully charged battery at any time quickly. While it is expensive compared to third-party batteries, it is the quality and peace of mind of OEM.

BEST FIRST ACCESSORY

Excellent Sony Spare Battery
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sony's mirrorless cameras do use a lot of power, so if you're out taking pictures all day, a spare battery gives you peace of mind and extends your shooting before the next recharge. Just as good as the battery that came with the camera, and since its from Sony you know it is fully compatible. While certainly not cheap, its not worth risking your investment in your camera on an unknown generic replacement.

Always bring a spare

Although it is a bit pricey it's worth having to keep on capturing breathtaking shots or videos you would potentially miss by not having a spare. Charges at a fairly decent speed. Battery life lasted me about 6 hours with the camera on pretty much the whole time.

Long Lasting, Worth the Money

Works perfect for filming on the Sony A7iii. Bought 3 of these, and they're more than enough even on long shooting days. Been on some 8 hour video shoots, and I've never had to charge a battery.

Costs more but its absolutely worth it!
