Worth paying more for the real thing?

Best batteries for Sony camera IMO

They charge quick and provide excellent life inside the camera for video and photography.

I do not have hard statistics, but I believe that the battery gave me a minimum of an additional half hour of shooting video. I was also able to shoot a full day and evening of stills at a music festival without swapping out the battery. I'm impressed.

Quality Power

The NP-FZ100 battery is amazing and when it comes to powering my expensive equipment, I like to have quality power.

The only thing I wish it came with was some sort of charger, right now I still have to charge it inside the camera.

I'm also very lucky that this battery works for all 4 OF MY DIFFERENT SONY ALPHA CAMERA BODY. BIGGEST GAME CHANGER especially if you love to take a lot of pictures whether its your profession or as a hobbyist

Sony NP-FZ100 Experience

I felt good about my purchase since the battery is packaged in a small cardboard box and BestBuy did the right thing instead of adding wasteful plastic to rack the item. The battery is from Sony and works as expected.

Works great on sony a6600

So much longer lasting than previous A-series camera batteries. One is usually enough for me to last a whole day, and having a backup on hand gives me confidence ill have plenty of power. *Im mostly a stills photographer, so obviously shooting video all day would use more power, but I imagine they are still relatively long lasting in that case.

It keeps its charge and does not overheat but best all you have a peace of mine knowing your camera is safe.

How do they get so many mAh's into a package that is almost the same size as the FW50? My a6500 and RX10 Mark IV all use the FW50, but my a7R Mark III uses this battery and it has changed my work flow on set. I bought the a9 battery grip and run 2 of these batteries, I can almost go all day long now. THANK YOU Sony for listening to us on the battery problem. I would love to see a similar efficient technology to this FZ100 (size and weight to mAh ratio) in the NP-BX1 and the new J series battery for the RX0. Sony mirrorless is great, but a battery like this FZ100 makes the battery life at least comparable to DSLR equivalents. Though even those batteries aren't getting as good of a ratio on weight to mAh.
