Thought it could replace an Ipod but not even close. I had to travel after to purchase do the two weeks expired before I had to chance to set it up otherwise I would have returned. As of now it's a door stop going into the junk draw, pure garbage.

Black on black buttons are hard to see, and too small to make out, touch screen is insensitive. Software is balky and being Android-centric may not play well with Apple. My Apple playlists loaded easily, but more than half of it won't play (format not supported.) Sony support is absent or incoherent. Bring back iPods.

The employee from the Geek Squad stated "What is this?" after making an appointment to meet with someone, I still could get help. I wounded up returning it. I am looking for something different less complicated.

Slow, poor Bluetooth and WiFi reception. And it sounded tin’y. I returned it to Amazon and bought the Walkman. It’s fast and stable, with excellent WiFi & Bluetooth connectivity and Outstanding sound quality. It’s a great value. You can spend allot more.

Works great. Upgrades the sound coming out of the speakers. Would have given it a 5 star, but it was a bit of a challenge for me to set up. I am 75 and am not familiar with many electronic devices. It seems mfgr's. often forget that some of us are late getting into the game. We're old; not dumb. User friendly devices should include that segment of the population that is aging and did not grow up with a cell phone, tablet, computer, etc.

Sony delivers amazing sound quality even at a (relatively) low price for Hi-Res. However, using it is not a pleasant experience. Here are some examples. - There is no really useful documentation. - An album isn't treated as its own playlist so if you want to listen to "Julian Bream Plays Bach", the next thing you might hear could be whatever follows it alphabetically rather than just stopping and letting you choose. - - Android is costly with respect to space occupied and then you end-up with all of the Google nonsense so if you have a largish library of Hi-Res recordings, you'd better use a very high capacity card and then remember to use the Walkman accordingly. 32 GB may sound like a lot, but realistically you have less than 24 GB before you add your first song. - It is always worth remembering that if you're not careful, Google will know everything there is to know about you since ALL of the stuff that you may not want to share will be unless you make the effort to disable. If you can live with the Android experience, and all of a phone-like experience, it might be suitable, but since it's not a phone, why bother with all of that stuff.

Your feedback is extremely important to us and is very much appreciated. The audio player might not recognize an entire album as its own playlist by default, however, there are several solutions for this issue. Under the playback settings on the Walkman there are two settings for the playback range: "All Range" and "Selected Range." If the setting "All Range" is marked then when the player is finished with the current playlist/album/song that you selected it will then move on to playing the next one in the list alphabetically. If you want the Walkman to only play one playlist/album/song you select and then stop playing, you need to have the setting to "Selected Range." Then it will only play that one item and then stop
Go to [Settings] – [Playback Range] then set [Playback range] to [All range] or [Selected range]. Please visit the link below for more details about the relationship between playback mode and playback range.

Not an ipod replacement

The interface is finicky and small touch screen leads to mistyping. Don't expect the same interoperability as was had between itunes and an ipod. On the plus side, the side buttons are great when using headphones or buds without a built in controller and sound quality seems decent.

Moreover, due to the nature of the touch panel, it may not respond or you may feel that the sensitivity is bad depending on how you touch it. In this case, touch the center of the icon firmly from directly above. Especially, as the icon located in the lower part of the screen is small, be sure to touch it correctly.

This isn't a product for everyone, but if you want a great way to listen to music without the constant distractions from a phone, this is your device. Buyers note: my first device was defective and crashed all the time. I swapped it out for a new one, and it has been rock solid.

No soundstage, weak dynamics, still better than a phone but way worse than any dac dongle 50$ and up. Wish that I didn’t buy honestly but will use as a Bluetooth player since I have an iPhone and this has LDAC!
