I bought this item because my old Walkman was starting to wear out. I like the sound that the new one has, and the radio stations are easier to find, as it has a screen, instead of a dial. Overall, I am glad I got it, at least so far. A couple of drawbacks. One is needing to have a case to protect the screen from scratches. Of course, maybe I am just overly careful. Luckily, I had a case from something else that I can use. And the other drawback is that it has a rechargeable battery that gets used up much faster that regular batteries. And I didn't ask about that when I bought it. I found out that you're expected to recharge it through your computer, which is a pain in the neck for me. But, I was able to get an adapter at another time. So, now I am good.

Had to replace a lost Sony device that I'd had for years. This one has been easy to learn, transfer files, and SOUNDS GREAT.

So Far so good, music loads and off loads easily, playback quality is good. Would prefer that I could delete songs from the device and/or add them to a playlist, but this must be done through the computer. Would also be nice if it had some sort of clip option that would allow it to be attached to clothing or a music stand.

I commute 1 hour everyday to work this is just what I need small and pratical great sound all the way around

I purchased this item as a back up to my I-Pod Nano, especially for working outdoors and travel. It is easy to operate, easy to load, and has several good audio setting features. The sound quality is very good---nice low end. A very good player for the price! I will likely buy another if I lose this one.

This is a good little MP3 player for the money. Good soft ware and easy to download music. Good battery life. Only problem I have had is when I play on random it plays more of the same songs rather than going through my whole library.

I did not want to pay for an I-Pod but wanted a reliable replacement for my antiquated ZUNE, which still worked great- but I was unable to download new music. The SONY seemed right up my alley- inexpensive, yet reliable. OVERALL, I am very pleased with it and would not do anything differently.

My husbands iPod classic died and I wanted to get him some sort of replacement for Christmas. I searched to see what was comparable, got good reviews, was easy to use and would work with our iTunes library. This was not an easy task. I settled on this device only to discover that my first pick ran out of memory! I replaced it with the 8GB and that had enough space. I do agree with other reviewers that say it is hard to turn off. You have to get the sequence just right and hit the middle button just right to get it to turn off. It is a smallish device, so it is difficult to maneuver with large hands. We also discovered that it will not allow you to used the included cord in the car if you want to select the songs, use the menus, etc.. Luckily we had the correct cord needed for this already. so far he likes it, but I know he would rather have his original device, which has sadly been discontinued.

I replaced my older Sony Walkman with this model. I bought my earlier model back in 2008. I liked the operation and construction of the earlier model much better. I hate the hold button function. It is an extra step every time I restart my book (I use this to play audiobooks) The construction does not seem as durable either. I don't expect this to last as long. Why do they always have to mess with a good thing?

I walked the store looking for MP3 player. Passed several associates engaged in conversation with other associates. Asked 2 for help and was told "They are over there". Finally a gentleman with a "general Managers" name tag approached me and asked if he could help me find anything. I replied, Yes and glad you said something because I was ready to walk" and I explained why. He was unapologetic and handed me over to a lower level sales person. I probably will not return to BB due simply due to customer service

Very happy with purchase. Have tried other cheaper mp3 players only to be disappointed with lack of features and poor durability. What good is an mp3 player if it can't handled regular usage on the go. Good Price, Good Product, Happy Me

Pretty much what I expected. I have an older 1G Walkman and wanted more memory for audio books. The only thing I don't like about it is that it uses a mini USB plug-in. I would much rather have a proprietary or micro USB plug-in.
